I get tempted by many things "pink", and needed a timer I can carry to other parts of the house while scalding milk for my Instant Pot yogurt. I can never hear the machine timer from other rooms. I like the size and color combinations of this timer, and it's flat shape to carry around in a pocket.It uses a AAA battery, so I was surprised that I have no way to turn the screen off when not using the timer. I tested the timer buttons themselves, which are fine, but I would have preferred an option to shut the screen off to prevent additional battery drain. Otherwise, it works fine, including the beep when it goes off; it's not loud enough for me to hear from another room, but not irritating when it goes off close by, either.I think the plastic rest on the back might be prone to break if not handled carefully, and the magnet on the back is not a strong grip on the few metal surfaces I tried it on (I personally would not stick it to metal). If the back stand on it eventually breaks off, I can still use this for what I need. The best part about this timer is the large digital screen and press buttons. Easy to read, and easy to set clearly.
