5.0 out of 5 stars Exceptional image and features
Hisense was not my first choice in terms of TVs, not even on my list to begin, however due to the performance rating of this TV on RTINGS.COM, it where I ended up.First, if you're in the budget for an inexpensive TV you're looking at an IPS LED TV. If you want the best picture, with the longest life, your best choice is NanoLED, QuantumLED (QLED), or MicroLED. It's that simple. The latter gives you near OLED picture quality at IPS prices.Second, you want full array, local dimming, which allows backlighting to adjust based on the needs of the image. This reduces the tendency for washed out colors by full brightness backlighting, and untimely wear on the backlighting by both standard backlighting and edge backlighting. It doesn't mean you'll never seen a blue backlighted image, but it does mean it won't happen for a long, long time. Now, as noted in reviews, this may not be the best TV for your use, it better for sitting and watching directly in front of the TV, however for that use case scenario it has an amazing picture quality. I'm still impressed. One of the reasons I upgraded was because it was getting difficult for me to see the screen. Everything looked blurry with or without my glasses and my eyes would tear up from the strain. The screen size only increased 5", so we aren't talking a big improvement there but the increase in resolution has made the image so much better to see.I use this for gaming and so far, based on my experience it offers a much better image quality. I'm able to do 120hz, which is well beyond the frames per second my computer is capable of but I'll have to tweek this more. Initially I had a super responsive gaming experience, but my last gaming session seemed to struggle. Overall though, the picture, quality was vastly improved. The included tuner and Google TV experience could be better but it's usable. The setup is easy enough and simple to complete.Overall I'm extremely happy with the purchase. The picture quality, resolution, and overall general experience was better than expected. There are better TVs in this class but if you're on a budget this is a great choice for both picture quality, features, and long-term reliability.
5.0 out of 5 stars You won't find much of anything to complain about
(This is Valeris husband writing this review). 65" U7 Google TV. Let me start with the con, which I only found one of. Using a USB port and a 500 GB stick, formatted to EXFat, the TV gives an error and it doesn't list the files. Per the manual, it only likes FAT32. But, the same stick in a 2019 Roku Ultra box works fine.A bit of a strange thing was Casting from my Win11 laptop using WiFi, at first didn't work and the TV didn't show up on the list. But then fooling around with various settings and apps, I looked again later and there it was and worked fine. Now for the good, which there is much of. I highly recommend you go ot the Rtings website to read about all the details and how to calibrate many of the settings to improve the experience. Also download the manual for the TV as well from the Hisense website. One thing I had a challenge with was getting the Optical Audio output to work with my stereo. I called support and had a nice person who was patient. He didn't really know in depth but he did finally find someone who knew and pointed the specific way to set that up. In short, when you hit the gear symbol on the remote it brings up a more general settings page. You have to then choose the gear on the TV to get to the advanced settings where the options for audio outputs are. Probably could have got to that in about 10 seconds if I knew that. Then I found out today that instead of hitting the gear button, there is a Menu button at the bottom of the remote that shows the Audio Output and easily allow you to arrow up or down and select a different one.So on to the good, and I've literally only had the TV for 24 hours. Deliver guys contracted by Bolo were awesome. Not only did they set up the TV and made sure it was working correctly for the most part, they took away my old bad 60" TV and if I wanted to, they would have taken the box too. I decided to hang onto the box just in case something fails on it unpredictably. But hard to find a place to stow that huge box.The stand is excellent and solid. The picture is beautiful! I've never seen so many options in a Smart TV. The availability of Apps seems endless. In fact there was only one on my Roku Ultra that I couldn't find on the TV. Local Dimming is certainly one of the best features, but again, read the Rtings reviews, which, when compared to many of the lesser priced TVs, most don't have this level of features without paying twice as much for say a similar Sony. The sound is fantastic for an LED TV. The remote is a nicely sized with some mass to it remote that is simple enough yet enough complexity to make it very useful. Perhaps only missing the ability to turn on other devices. Such as my stereo, where I use it's remote. Also handy is voice commands talking to the remote with mic option held. You can also remove 99% of the apps you don't use. And a few that stay, you can move to the far right if you don't use it. And it's nice to organize them in order of personal importance with the Move feature. This TV also has optimaztion for Gaming, which I don't do but there you have it.I'm sure there are other features that I will eventually figure out. I also like the screensaver image that shows the time and weather after so many minutes.Be prepared to spend a ocuple of hours at least getting it all configured and calibrated the way you want it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Hisense U7N 65 inch high end TV performance at a bargain price
I already have a 55" Hisense U8G froma a few years ago and it has performed flawlessly with continued AndroidTV updates. This 65" Hisense U7N is even more impressive. With a rated 1,500 nits brightness on the box, HDR, GoogleTV, 4 HDMI inputs, USB 3.0 jack, and ATSC 3.0 antenna tuner, it checks all the boxes. RTINGS.COM rates the TV at 1,090 Nit in SDR, and 1,302 Nit in HDR. The 120hz display looks silky smooth and the GoogleTV is also very responsive. Reviewers have been comparing this TV to the top of the line Samsung & Sony QLED TVs at double the price. As a bonus, it even has a built-in woofer, which is rare in these other high-end TVs. The remote is also feels premium and is back-lit. Bolo delivered the TV carefully and it arrived in perfect shape. So happy with my purchase. You will be too.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic overall tv
Insane detail and colors, perfect for my series X. 4k 120 fps no problem. The built in google system is silky buttery smooth. No hiccups ever, and the sound system?? Fantastic subwoofer in the back of the tv for those bass heavy movie scenes and music when needed.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great Television
I love this tv, great picture quality. The backlit remote is great. Easy to set up and even easier to use. I would highly recommend this tv to anyone. Also a great price.
