I ordered this for my sister. She’s lived in her apartment for over 7 years, and hasn’t replaced the “temporary” 8 pieces of cheap , and uncomfortable to use, IKEA silverware set for 2. It’s not that she can’t afford it, but she just never gets around to it.I was surprised by this set from the minute I opened it. What was supposed to be a 16 piece set, was actually a 20 piece set. The company said they had a surprise for me, which consisted of 4 salad forks. A great addition to the set.The appearance of this silverware is, modern, sleek and contemporary, yet, it is chic enough to use in an elegant setting. This 18/10 stainless steel set feels like it’s well made and durable, yet sits comfortably in your hand. The pieces have not bent, even with all of the pressure her boyfriend puts on them. He uses the soup spoons,to scoop very firm ice cream, and they do it easily, without bending.The larger forks have a hefty curve to them, which I personally don’t care for. But she likes them just fine. She said that’s thats the current trend. Who knows how long it’ll remain that way?All of the edges are smooth, eliminating the likely hood of cutting your mouth, or hurting your hands, unlike what she’s been using for years.So far, there’s no sign of rust or corrosion, even after running them thru the dishwasher. They are dishwasher safe, but you may want to dry them by hand, because the mirror finish on these, tend to get water spots on them.The one thing I don’t like about this set is, the soup spoons are HUGE!! She says, they barely fit into her mouth, and when I tried them, I agree with her take, on that note. She uses them as serving spoons, instead of soup spoons, and they work very well for those purposes.In closing, this silverware is very attractive, and seems very durable. I’m taking one star off, due to what I (and she) thinks are excessively large sized soup spoon. Other than that, she really loves this silverware set.

I picked these up as an additional set at our office kitchen. It seems like people walk away with small spoons and we added more employees so we were running out of flatware in between running the dishwasher. Anyways, this set is heavy and has a nice feel to use. They are not cheap like a stamped set so I really like them. They are sleek and modern with good finishing. Definitely would use at home too.

This is a good set of no frills, but solid silverware. Has a very simple design with a line across the bottom and boxy end. Its simple enough to make it look more than your standard simple silverware, but not so over the top you worry about it matching your overall ascetic.

I really wanted to love this set. The finish and handles are perfectly what I was looking for, a beautiful satin sheen with smooth rounded bodies. Unfortunately, the spoons were machine-cut and not finished on the scooping part, making the edges very sharp and cutting into your fingers handling them, let alone using these for eating. Interestingly, none of the other utensils in this set have that problem. I'll be returning them.
