About this item:
The GetTEsted Iron Deficiency Test Kit is an easy and accurate way to check your iron levels from home.. Simply collect a small blood sample by pricking your finger, placing a few drops onto the test strip, and waiting just 5 minutes to see your result. Low, normal, and high indicators make the results simple to read without confusion. By knowing your iron status, you can work with your doctor to address any deficiencies through diet or supplements before symptoms arise. Works great
3.0 out of 5 stars Inconsistent Instructions
The test works fine but the instructions on the box are inconsistent with the directions pamphlet inside. The directions on the pamphlet say to use 1 drop of buffer for testing, while the directions on the box say to use 2 drops of buffer. I followed the directions on the pamphlet and believe I got accurate results. But can I be really sure? Would adding another drop of buffer make a major difference to results? I don't know because I'm not a chemist. But I wouldn't have these concerns about the possible accuracy of the results if the directions were consistent and if I did not have to guess which set of directions was correct. Please fix this!!
1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
Unfortunately the lids wouldn't come off the needles ( broke when twisting) so I didn't even get to use the item. Just threw it away. Disappointed

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy and Seems Accurate
I love the instant results. Testing instructions are clear. I believe results were accurate and helped me take action to get back into healthy range within a few months.
2.0 out of 5 stars Instructions are tiny and hard to read. Not sure results are even accurate.
Didn’t like the test. I couldn’t get enough blood in the dropper. I do not believe my test was valid since didn’t get enough of a sample. It’s just a positive or negative. However , You are low on iron if there is only one line. If 2 lines you have enough iron. This is kind of opposite what I’m used to with other at home tests.

3.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't give you a true number
This does not give you a number, just whether or not you have a normal amount of ferritin or not. And I say this with great concern, because I have no idea what this test’s version of “normal” is. If you’ve ever had blood tests done at different labs and compared the results, you’ll know that each lab has their own interpretation of what is normal, and a range that might be different. If you feel crappy and you get a normal result with this test, I would recommend following up with a lab to get a true number. Even if you’re not feeling crappy and you want to know your ferritin level. Ferritin levels can gradually taper off so slowly that some people don’t even notice changes and how they feel slowly becomes normal. And on another note, I’d recommend looking at the optimal number, not the normal range on lab tests! The range for ferritin is quite large, and often low-normal is sub-optimal.This test also only detects ferritin down to 30 ng/mL; if you are deficient, you could easily be well below 30.
