4.0 out of 5 stars Overall - A good keyboard for the price!
Pros:- Similar to Keychron Max keyboards for half the price.- Typing experience is good, low-profile keys are nice!- 3-mode wireless (USB/BT/2.4) with integral battery. Wired mode and 2.4 Wireless work great; I've since used the BT mode, and it also works fine!- Brown switches feel OK but are still not super-loud.- RGB lighting is cool, plenty of flashing modes and speed adjustment.- 100% key layout with numeric pad.- Color scheme is nice, and there isn't a very large annoying logo (a small key-sized logo near the escape key, which doubles as a "power on" light).- Adjustable angle brackets are attached (only 1 angle, not too bad).- Easy keycap replacement.- Can be used for windows or mac, I've only used for windows mode however.Cons:- The darker key labels are difficult to see during the daytime (or well lit environments), and the backlight isn't bright enough to help with this since the keys have inconsistent shine-thru (some keys look bright and OK, most look dull).- Keycaps feel lower-quality. I actually just replaced the keycaps with some low-profile Womier Shine Thru Keycaps (white/grey), and the keycaps now shine thru MUCH BETTER! Honestly it looks much better now!- Switches could be a bit more tactile, these almost feel like Red switches (linear/non-tactile).- Backlit brightness could be stronger.Observations:- Keys may rattle a tad, I don't mind the sound (the sound is almost "clicky").- Battery life hasn't been tested and I can't find a listed capacity anywhere.- Comes with a puller tool and some red keycaps.- Instructions are simple enough.Overall Impression:- This keyboard works, plain and simple. This keyboard is definitely not a high-quality keyboard, and doesn't demand to be looked at, however this keyboard is quite functional and not bad for the price. I enjoy the wireless and minimal footprint for a 100% layout since I require space for a notepad and engineering reference books. The RGB lighting is nice to have, and there is enough adjustability here to suit my needs. I would prefer the option for hot-swappable switches, however this is an entry-level wireless mechanical RGB keyboard so the integrated switches are totally acceptable (why bother with hot swappable for this price anyways?)
5.0 out of 5 stars Easy touch keyboard
Love it
3.0 out of 5 stars Its okay
Pros: Overall look is not bad. Swappable keypads and they give you some keys to swap out the Enter, Esc, Arrow keys, and some backspace/enter keys. The lighting effects are nice.Cons: They keyboard feels nice but they keys and their noise feel cheap and it's kinda noisy. The color of the red on this keyboard is not the bright red and the Lettering on each of the keys are greyed out, making it hard to read without lighting. The overall color scheme feels very boring. I'm going to return this and order a new one.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good value keyboard, with one "gotcha"
I am reviewing the product "MageGee Wireless Mechanical Keyboard Moon104 RGB Backlight Triple Mode 2.4GHz/BT/USB" on 9 August, 2024.I ordered this keyboard for use with my Mac desktop, and it has a lot going for it. First, it has been preprogrammed with a pleasing variety of color light effects which can be chosen using keys on the keyboard itself. The included USER GUIDE documents which keypresses are employed for selecting the RGB program, its speed, its color, and its brightness, but does not name the programs, as I will attempt to do here, based on my observations when cycling the "Fn-Ins" keypress:o Offo Chaseo Implode/Explodeo Rainbowo Pulseo Solido Full chaseo Reactive Chase - 1 Rowo Waveo Cycleo Rippleo Chase, random rowso Solido Breathingo Breathingo Scrollingo Reactive wave chaseo Starlighto Chase, progressive top-to-bottomo Reactive simple"Reactive" programs initiate when a key is pressed, and the effect begins at the pressed key's position on the keyboard. The keyboard appearance is sleek and compact, with only the thinnest of bezels protruding beyond the area of the keycaps. Typing is comfortable, with solid tactile and audible response to keys pressed.Besides the impressive color light options, I was equally impressed with this keyboard's versatility. Compatible with Windows and Mac, and connections via USB-C wired, 2.4G RF (using the included dongle), and 3 different bluetooth devices. Windows or Mac is selected using a hardware switch on the top, and connection method can be switched either by a hardware switch or via keypresses. The included USER GUIDE documents the basic features of the keyboard, in idiomatic English on one side, and Chinese on the other. Fully documented in a table form are use of the multimedia keys, connection selector, bluetooth pairing, and lighting control, with Windows vs. Mac variations highlighted. I appreciated the guide's legibility and thoroughness, but would have preferred one set with somewhat larger type. Some users will need to employ magnification to fully benefit from it.I do need to highlight one gotcha. I found that the keycaps tend to come off too easily. In just a few days of standard use, I have lost my "keypad =" and "cursor right" key caps, apparently to the gremlins which aren't inclined to give them back.Overall, this keyboard offers a lot of value with its varied compatibility and customizable features, but the keycap issue is a drawback that potential buyers should be aware of, and I have docked this review one star for that annoyance.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great mechanical feel
This keyboard is very well built and as promised, has a nice mechanical feel when pressing the keys. It comes with a bunch of extras like a key puller, charging cable, and black keys in case you prefer that over the red. I like that it can be plugged in or used wirelessly and the bluetooth option works flawlessly.I will say I was a little disappointed by the LED lights. The bright rainbow backlighting really doesn’t mesh well with the red/grey color scheme, so I just turned them off. My only concern is that I’m not sure I feel it’s worth the $50 pricetag. I spent $30 on my favorite mechanical keyboard of all time and that’s after owning a cherry. Overall, I’m happy with it, though, and think this would be an ideal keyboard for many users. Good product.
