The stand is sturdy enough to hold the weight of a laptop and some more but it buckles under slightly more weight. The frame itself is rigid and is made of metal but the platforms that the laptop sits on as well as the base are made of acrylic. It is easy to setup and use

I love the fact that it's clear and makes it not a distraction. There are some white to it but it still gives it a good clean look. It is quite sturdy and requires some Force to movement which I prefer over the opposite. It holds my laptop well and adjust to make the fit just right.

This is a sturdy laptop stand. There is some tradeoff in the ease of transition from raised to lowered, but it's still fairly smooth. It's a nice looking stand and my laptop feels secure on it. I like it.
