I love this digital caliper. It appears to be well made and comes with a nice protective case. The weight is perfect and its performance is spot on. I love being able to switch between inches and metric. Clear easy to see numbers.

This is a very nice tool. The machine edges are a bit sharp however, that’s what takes away from five stars.It measures extremely well and seems to be fairly accurate although zeroing it out is confusing. With the power off, you must depress the zero out button while powering it on to zero it.The ruler it came with doesn’t fit in the case anywhere so that’s constantly kind of headache, but the case is nice.

The media could not be loaded. If I had to complain about anything it would be the box. My first 12-in caliber purchase in the mid-90s was over $300. Now, they're $30 and just as good quality. The box feels tough but the hinges will rip apart in 6 months or less. It's a bend in thin plastic. It's a cheap way to make hinges as they can only take so much opening and closing before they rip apart and need upgraded to mechanical hinges. I don't know why they went out of their way to make a spot for an extra battery but nowhere to put that ruler. It's like they had extras and just threw it in the box. They could have saved the ruler spend a little on the eyeglass screwdriver. If I end up with just the caliper in 6 months I still have a great caliper. I hope it stays tight and doesn't loosen up like most of the cheap calipers usually do but for now I'll give it a 9.5 out of 10

My guitars have grown to 8 high end guitars and basses with all the amps and effect boards. Love my luthier, but, tired of his politics and prices. Made up my mind to do all my own work, twas a learning curve for sure, but worth it in many ways. Taking measurements with the tools those set up kits give you, was needlessly hard, but integral. Every thing you adjust effects the whole guitar. So if you screw up the bridge or neck its a mess. Saw Joe Walsh set up a LP using this instrument. He made it look so simple using this measuring tool. An electric guitar is a very precise instrument, that requires precision to perform. This tool made it easy, or at least easier.

Me intereso sobre todo la medicion a milesimas de pulgada, que era lo que buscaba. Con su caratula digitalte facilita la lectura de la medicion buscada. Su tamaño hasta 6 pulgadas es ideal para la medicion de pistones, valvulas, anillos,etc. No es muy caro y es bastante confiable.

battery cover not as shown - it is a screw type, not sliding. Also a bit loose did to side,
ok for $30 but would not use as a professional measurement tool.Will have to see what the battery life is. return to zero from full span is always out by a few counts.It comes with 2 lr44 and has auto shutoff.I selected this one because listing shows battery cover sides off like mitotoyo but on the actual unit it is held on with a small screw. Fortunately the screw seems to be a captive screw so can't get lost - so it seems.
