I tried to buy the blue one, but for four times I only received 4 random pieces instead of the full set of 16. Every time I had to bring back the item and every time I got disappointed again in the next shipping. It would have been a very nice set, I don’t know who to blame for this.

I got the Sur La Table Kitchen 16 Piece Two Tone Dinnerware Plates and Bowls Set. They are red/white in color. They are made of porcelain.It is chip and scratch resistant. They are dish washer and microwave safe.This is good for a family of 4 as there are 4 dinner plates, 4 dessert plates, 4 dinner bowls and 4 cereal bowls. The red is not a true red color as it is more of a coral color and lighter than a normal red color. There are design flaws on these as you can see from the pictures that I have included. Having said that, these are still useable and serviceable.They are quite heavy and sturdy. Since they are made out of porcelain I would except them to last a long time. After using them, I put them in the dishwasher and they were cleaned off easily.

This is a fun, modern starter set of crockery that is great for everyday use and holds up well in the dishwasher. I love the punchy coral-red color that's not too garish, almost reminds me of the kind of red shade popular in the 50's and 60's. The shapes are clean and minimal, with a soft curve, and the pasta bowls specifically are my most-used items in this set because of the lower, shallow shape - they make all foods look so photogenic! Each piece was individually and securely packed in their own separate boxes inside the main box, which I haven't come across before and which was great to make sure nothing was broken or chipped.

This Sur La Table 16 piece dinnerware design is a nice size and nicely painted. There are 2 plates and 2 bowls in each set. The bowls are large and well shaped to hold plenty with the straight up edges. These are dishwasher and microwavable safe and have been used in both. Even the color is nice.
