I bought this for my 2 boys, who are 6 and 8. This is just perfect for both of them.Its a little bit on the small side but works exceptionally well. In hover car mode the foam body protects the drone from full speed head on crashes. In fly mode, this drone is surprisingly stable. I have a larger drone, that we can almost never get to hover without wandering. This one is just perfect. The size of the drone is small and light enough that I do not worry what they fly it into. The only thing that it is missing is the panic emergency landing button. Unless I just haven't figured out what button it is, yet.. Run time is 10-15 minutes, and charge time is about the same. It came with extra battery and propellers. Probably more propellers would have been good. I would say, that if you have pets, don't run the drone while they are in the room. Our dog looks at it like its a mouse that needs to be obliterated. Lastly I would say, that for drive mode, hardwood floors would be necessary. I don't think that this will hover over carpet. Our hole house is vinyl so its kind of free game all over... A+ would highly recommend. The price is low, the happiness is high.

Bought these for my 5&6 yr Olds birthdays. It's super convenient to get 2 drones along with controls for one price. The drones were easy enough for my 2 young kids to figure them out, and are small enough to fly inside as well as outside. The hovercraft feature is especially fun and they love racing around the kitchen. The only thing, if you need to change or clean around a propeller, by sure to ONLY pull the prop off, as the whole little unit is not supposed to come out. Battery life seems good. One funny thing we discovered is that occasionally 1 controller will do both drones, but it's easily fixed by disconnecting then reconnecting a battery.

I gave this item 5 stars because once we learned how to fly then they were perfect. Indoor/OutdoorI bought six for 6 boys that came to my son’s birthday party.Each box came with all of their equipment. Each had an extra battery with a tool to open and close where you install triple A batteries which were also included. All of the parts inside of each were together and actually strong. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST so that you won’t make the mistake of crashing it or not landing it properly. This little drone is super fast and can fly high. It even flew up to the ceiling. Also the instructions are very to the point.There are actually 2 ways to operate it.Ground or Air/FlyYou have to PAIR the remote to the drone.Power on by pushing the largest middle button ,use both controls and push them up simultaneously. Drone should light up Blue, this is for ground mode(like a remote control car) (keep back wheels up)in this mode you have to keep the drone in the little styrofoam base that it came in and move it like a car.Switch modes - (push the small middle button then both controls upward simultaneously)For Air mode the drone will light up GreenTake the drone out of the styrofoam base and straighten the wheels so that it flies.Starts slow to Learn how to land it and control directionsHope this helps

If you are on the fence about about a fun indoor/outdoor mini drone - Buy this twice. I'm buying 2 more now. 3 in 1!!! Land, Sea, Air!I'm not a promoter or paid to say this. This thing brings tons of fun and joy to everyone from 6 months old to 65 yrs old. This thing is crazy fun and durable. Kid sunk it in a pool by accident so I dried (without turning it on) for like 20 minutes under a fan and it continues to work perfect weeks later. It's the most quiet one I've tried too which is a huge deal indoors.If you aren't sure which starter or indoor friendly drone to get, get this one. Yes you. Get it before they raise the price again. (As long as camera functionality isn't a deal breaker)
