You need a stud finder, but the directions were very easy to follow. My TV was a 55” and this was very sturdy and could hold a much larger Tv. It was very easy to level and line up with the template in the box. I like it and would give it 5 stars. It looks good, comes out from the wall a good distance, and very nice. I’m happy with it.

They've included clear instructions and all of the components necessary to mount any TV within the size specifications.It can be mounted into wall studs or concrete.They've included a template and a level to make sure it's installed correctly.The mount itself has leveling adjustments in case your installation is slightly off level.The TV can move back and forth from the wall, making it easy to do wiring from behind.It has an easy to use tilt stabilizer in case you want to angle your screen up or down.The TV locks into the mount, but can be slid left or right if you want to fine tune the positioning.The design of the mount allows you to push it closer or further from the wall, angle it left or right, and overall makes positioning highly customizable.Quiet operation, no squeaking or creaking. Moves seamlessly.Took me about 90 minutes to take this out of the box, mount it on to the wall and get my new 65" Hisense mounted in a bedroom.You'll have to have your own toolsDrillStud finderScrewdriverI'm mid-level handy and was able to do it mostly by myself pretty easily. Had to have my 14 year old kid help me pick up my TV to put it up, but that should be a two person job for most of us.Highly recommend this product.

I recently installed the Pipishell Full Motion TV Wall Mount for my 85-inch flat-screen TV, and it's fair to say that the product has both its high points and areas that could use improvement. The mount is quite sturdy and holds up well, which is paramount when it comes to the safety and security of large, expensive TVs. The swivel dual articulating arms and the tool-free tilt feature are excellent additions, offering a range of motion and viewing angles that elevate the overall TV-watching experience.However, a word of caution to potential buyers about the backing plate size. The mount comes with a 16-inch backing plate, which was a bit of a letdown for my specific installation needs. I was aiming to have my TV centered between studs and ideally needed a 32-inch backing plate for that perfect alignment. Despite this, I was able to make it work, but it's something I wish I had known beforehand. So, if you're considering this mount, take the time to measure the distance between your studs to ensure that the backing plate will suit your setup.On a positive note, the mount does come with a very helpful template, which aids in getting the installation just right. The inclusion of this template is a thoughtful touch, simplifying the mounting process and helping to achieve precise drilling and alignment.In conclusion, while the Pipishell Full Motion TV Wall Mount is well-built and provides a robust and flexible mounting solution, the backing plate size could be a limitation depending on your wall stud configuration. It's crucial to measure and plan accordingly before purchasing. I followed directions closely and found installation straight forward. I mounted a 65” TCL which came with its own mounting bolts. I taped the mounting template on the wall and checked with my 2 foot home level. Marking the studs and level line makes install much quicker. The wall studs were in an ideal location, so little adjustment with centering TV was needed.It’s easy to adjust horizontal position and angle if needed. Cost was good. It came with all the necessary hardware and a cute little level.
