I purchased an expensive rOtring pencil a couple of months ago (when it finally went on sale) and I enjoyed using it so much that I wanted *more* but without the expense. So I looked carefully at a lot of the offerings on Bolo. I wanted metal or mostly metal, especially the part where you hold it between the fingers while writing. Mostly I did not want anything with rubber or soft plastic because in my experience those get soft and sticky over time. These pencils seem identical to one of many offerings by NicPro but I chose FourCandies because I liked the set components better, especially the sharpeners. As is often the case with Chinese products on Bolo, identical products are sold under (sometimes bizarre) brand names, so those brands are really just different distributors for the same manufacturer, with the only difference being branding on the items, and accessories/component choices. I am always a bit nervous buying this type of product -- one that a well-known reputable brand is not associated with. I mean even if it is cheap in cost, I would rather not have it if it is also cheap in quality, because it is still a waste of money if I am not pleased. But in this case I was definitely not disappointed. Everything seems very good quality and I will enjoy using these pencils. No complaints at all. Now for some details:You have to scroll down on the Bolo page to see the actual arrangement of the kit components (see also my attached photo). It seems to be a new arrangement in part because it has a slightly smaller kneaded eraser than shown in the top photo, plus I think the newer arrangement that I got looks nicer. The case is fine. The pencils are mostly metal but the eraser caps and tips are plastic [Edit: actually, the eraser cap is actually metal, but the glossy paint made it look like plastic; if you peek inside, you can see it is metal; not sure about the nib]. However, the inside of the tip has a brass-like metal threading, so it is metal-on-metal threading when you screw it on or off (see my second photo). As others have stated, make sure the tip is screwed on tight before you start using the pencil because it may have become a bit loose during shipment. It can be tricky to tighten but you'll figure it out. On the manufacturer photos it looks like the entire tip is the same black material but actually the sheath where the lead comes out is metal, and silver-colored, not black, and it can retract for protection (the 2mm ones do not have this). Also, for me removing and replacing the eraser was fine, unlike for another reviewer. I guess don't put the eraser holder in without the eraser, but definitely you can remove it to load leads easily that way. The 2 mm pencils do not have an eraser, probably because the tube that holds the lead (and eraser for the other sizes) is narrower, probably to keep you from putting in more than one lead at a time. It is therefore too narrow for holding the eraser. For the other sizes it is okay to put in numerous leads (but they warn that if you put in too many, it may cause a jam). This makes sense, since you will use up the thinner leads faster.The colored leads seem fine (not broken, and not messy), but I also ordered a set of 2 mm colored leads that are Zebra branded, because I like and trust that brand. I also ordered some 2B Pentel leads for the 0.5, 0.7, 0.9 sizes because I prefer the softer lead, and those sizes came only with HB (the #2 pencil hardness).My kit is still fairly new, so I will update this review if I run across any problems. But so far so good!

This is a must have for anyone who likes to draw!! The pencils are super nice and the erasers work very well!!! It’s also nice that it comes with led refills and different shades of led!! Overall great product for a good price!!

I like the weight and feel and the way it writes very nice. They give a lot of extra erasers and pencil sharpeners. I haven’t seen those in a while. They do give a lot of different types of lead to refill the pencils. My daughter is stolen, one pencil and all the colored lead. I enjoy this product very much so far.

The pencils themselves are good quality, comfortable grip. The different 2mm leads that should be different grade graphite are almost identical. Basically happy with the set.

I care a lot about my writing utensils, and especially about my art supplies. I really just bought this for the colored led... and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of everything else included. The 5 different mechanical pencils have a very nice weight to them, which makes them absolutely lovely to write/draw with. The led is of amazing quality in my opinion, and the 2.0 led hardly ever breaks. Even the kneaded eraser is of high quality! The only thing that could have made this better is if the 2.0 pencils included erasers like the other 3 do.. but there's no eraser attachment on them. Which is fine, because the pack even comes with two nice quality small erasers, perfectly travel sized, but it would have been nice. All in all, great quality, and I 100% will be purchasing from this brand again in the future.

This is a good starter kit for those who want to start drawing. The mechanical pencil are comfortable to draw for long hours, the leads does not break easily when applying force in drawing. I like this set. Good purchase

Me gustó muchísimo! Las plumas son de metal, lo que asegura durabilidad, las minas son de buena calidad y variadas; las minas de colores son bastante buenas. Trae varios tipos de gomas y dos sacapuntas especiales para minas y un estuche muy útil y resistente. Yo lo uso para salir a dibujar a la calle o al campo y esa presentación me parece excelente. Le pondría un once, pero creo que solo se puede calificar hasta diez. Muy recomendable!!!

Best quality
Astounding metal quality pencils with kneadable eraser, erasers and leads. There are couple of sharpeners to sharpen the leads. Metal pencil will last forever, solid build and intuitively keeps the lead out or in. On top of all this, customer service is awesome and prompt!
