After trying different softboxes, the Aputure Light Dome Mini III has become one of my favorites for its combination of quality and convenience. It offers a Bowens mount, making it compatible with a variety of lights, and the quick-setup design saves a lot of time on set. The octagonal shape produces soft, even light that is ideal for interviews, close-ups, and smaller spaces where I don’t want harsh shadows.What stands out is how compact yet effective this softbox is. Despite its smaller size, it delivers beautifully diffused lighting without sacrificing quality, and it’s perfect for tighter shooting environments. I like the way it clips open and how sturdy it is. I use it on strobes for photography and it is a great little soft box that’s super easy to transport in the provided bag and super quick to assemble without have to fuss with wires. Almost as simple as using umbrellas but more versatile. Very happy.

I'm using this in a small room to shoot video and it's perfect for that. I've owned quite a few soft boxes over the years and this has to be the best one, hands down. The genius of this model is how easily it expands and folds up to fit in the soft sleeve when you're done. I set it up in less than a minute. It ships with a white diffusion insert and a grid so you're left with beautiful, pleasing and useful soft light.Even if you have a different brand of lights (with Bowens mount), get this soft box. You'll be glad you did.

Product is exactly as described. Sewing seems decent so I expect it'll last. I needed to put Paul C Buff speed rings in the two that I got which I knew would not fit. I just ground off a little metal from the speed ring and it fits fine now. Very secure. the biggest win of this product is how insanely fast it sets up. I will always have it setup with the reflector, diffusion, and grid so I leave all that on when I break it down. It just pops up fully ready to use. Good work!
