My husband and I were so tired of buying toys for our niece that kept on breaking. So this year we decided to look into more educational, hands-on gift that stimulated the mind. When she opened this gift Christmas morning and started reading what it was, her face lit up! It's great to know that durable and educational gifts like this still exist in this world where you can buy a regular toy and it breaks 10 minutes later. I recommend this gift to anyone looking for something more stimulating to a child's mind!

My son enjoyed this kit alot but it was very messy because the crystals that grow on the peacock and the tree fall over very easily and break up into small pieces that get everywhere. Also make sure you have some form of safety glasses to wear as these chemicals have a warning label for burning eyes and skin. Definitely don't want to do this kit with little kids just the older ones.

My 5yo daughter is so excited for this kit! She's made one crystal so far (with some parental help, of course). I'm happy that the instructions are easy to follow and the process is simple. I am disappointed that the Crystal growing cup and the display container were both broken. It was a bit of a challenge to figure out the right item to substitute with. Otherwise, great kit!

We have a two-year-old granddaughter who loves to be outdoors and have her hands in everything that we are working on! This is a great kit for her use with adult supervision. She enjoyed watching the quick growing crystals and also seeing the end results of the more slow growing ones. The science lessons that accompany the kits would be great for older kids. I’m not sure if she grasped everything that the kit was presenting but it was still fun to see her fascination with it. It would be a great activity for homeschool kids or kids who like to extend their science lessons beyond the classroom! It’s also great for lifelong learning adults! This is a kit I wish I had when I was younger, but it’s also great to experience now with young minds!
