5.0 out of 5 stars The BEST smartwatch for fitness and diet enthusiasts, period.
The media could not be loaded. Let me preface this by saying I chose this one after buying, trying, and then returning the Apple Watch, the Samsung Galaxy Watch, FitBit, and a couple of other lesser-known brands. I actually went with a Garmin Venu Sq. 2 first and I loved it, at which point I bought this one due to the beautiful, large AMOLED screen and because it runs on the sand base software. That’s a GOOD thing, so let me elaborate. This is by far the most accurate watch for counting the total calories burned. The Apple Watch simply did not let me view the TOTAL calories burned, as it would show your estimated basal metabolic rate and then stack the active expenditure in a separate category, so you’d have to go back and forth to view each one and then add it up. The Galaxy watch suffered a similar problem, but it was not that accurate at measuring steps, which would directly affect the caloric expenditure. The FitBit was just WILDLY inaccurate and once told me I burned 5000+ calories in a day because I had a panic episode after something bad happened in my personal life, and so that night it registered me as having burned thousands of calories just laying in bed.The Garmin, however, did everything right (accurate steps that match the ones my iPhone said to within 5%, heart rate matched a professional blood pressure cuff, and the calorie counter tracked my weight loss exactly). It is extremely useful when counting calories where a slim margin is needed, such as aiming to lose 750 calories a day to lose 1.5 lbs/week. It it’s off by just 100 or 200, that’s already a half pound off, or 26 pounds a year.It is extremely important to me that it gets it right. It also has a ton of features, but I don’t use them honestly. It’s very easy to connect and set up, too. The price is subjectively fair but objectively it is quite high. Regardless, I am very pleased with it. The battery life is EXCELLENT if you turn Bluetooth and WiFi off, too. 5/5 all around!
5.0 out of 5 stars The battery life is impressive
I recently got the Garmin Venu 3S, and it has quickly become my go-to smartwatch! The soft gold stainless steel bezel gives it a stylish, elegant look that easily transitions from workouts to everyday wear. The 1.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen display is stunning—vibrant and easy to read, even in bright sunlight. Navigating through the features is smooth and intuitive, making it simple to track workouts, monitor heart rate, and check notifications.I especially love the health tracking features; they provide valuable insights into my fitness and well-being. The battery life is impressive too—I can go days without needing to charge it.Overall, the Garmin Venu 3S combines functionality with style, making it a fantastic choice for anyone looking to enhance their fitness journey while keeping things fashionable. Highly recommend!
5.0 out of 5 stars Best Smartwatch on the market!
I've been using the Garmin Venu 3s for a couple months now and I'm really impressed! It's a great all-around smartwatch that keeps up with my active lifestyle. The battery life is fantastic - I easily get 9 days on a single charge. The display is bright and clear, even in sunlight. The built-in GPS and heart rate tracking are extremely accurate, which is important to me for my workouts. I haven't found anything that I dislike about this smartwatch.Overall, the Garmin Venu 3s is a great choice for anyone looking for a stylish and functional smartwatch. It's packed with features, has a long battery life, and is comfortable to wear all day long. I highly recommend it!
4.0 out of 5 stars A Pricey but Nice Alternative to a Smart Watch or FItbit
I started looking for a new smart watch / exercise tracker after Fitbit dumbed down their app by eliminating a good deal of precision in times and miles run and also redoing their formerly excellent data display and organization a few months ago.I do not like charging a watch every night, which is necessary for the dominant smart watches, and do not like their tight linkages to particular phone-based eco systems. So I tried purchased a Garmin Venu 3 from Bolo a little over a month ago. For my purposes, it is not a massive improvement over a good Fitbit (prior to the dumbing down), but like the Fitbits that I've owned, it has excellent battery life (4-5 days or so is common), and is smart enough for my purposes. It was, of course, more expensive than the Fitbits that I've owned, but you do get somewhat more for one's money. The screen is larger, brighter, and depending on the screen face that one adopts, more informative and easier to read--both during a daytime run and at night. The touch screen is more touch friendly--it seems more sensitive and being a bit larger is easier to touch in the "right" spot to activate an app etc.It also provides more data, much of it useful, than Fitbits do.Although the manner in which Garman displays the data in the app is not as good as the older fitbit data display, its generally better than their new app (as of Dec 2023). Also, many of the calculations are undertaken on the watch itself rather than transmitted to mother google, so one can, for example, look at sleep scores, run times, distances, and so forth even if one is off line.Overall, I am very pleased with the Venu 3. Its good looking, easy to read, has lots of flexibility (e.g. its pretty "smart") and quite easy to set up and get going--as is the app.
5.0 out of 5 stars Worth Every Penny!
've been using the Garmin Venu 3 for a few months now, and it’s an absolute game-changer! I was a long time previous Apple Watch user and now have made the full switch to Garmin. The health and fitness tracking features are incredibly detailed, from heart rate and sleep monitoring to advanced workout stats. I love the body battery feature; it really helps me gauge when I need rest versus when I’m ready for a workout. The built-in GPS is super accurate, and the battery life is impressive—I can go nearly two weeks without needing to charge, even with regular use. The watch feels premium, and is comfortable to wear all day.If you’re serious about tracking your fitness and want a watch that does it all, the Garmin Venu 3 is worth every penny!
Exactly what I was looking for
I’ve been an Apple Watch user for almost ten years. I had been debating switching to a garmin and watching videos on them for quite some time. I was hesitant to make the switch because I was worried about integration. I decided to buy the Garmin Venu 3 and have had no regrets at all. I’ve been wearing it for about two months now. The battery life is amazing. It lasts anywhere from 5-10 days depending on what I’m doing. My Apple Watch was only lasting about 18 hours. I receive texts and phone calls on it. You can reply to texts via Siri if you want to. I also use it for running and like it a lot better than the Apple Watch. I don’t find the Garmin app hard to use at all. It integrates well with Strava. I like the coach and have been using it for my upcoming 10k. It also has great lap features. I like the buttons better as I find it easier to start and stop runs. I also like the summary you receive in the morning and how data heavy it is. I personally also find the circle shape looks dressier than the square Apple Watch shape. I find it works well with most outfits and doesn’t look out of place. If you’re debating the switch and reading this I suggest you make it. I have no regrets.
