I have the Go+Play 3 and the version before this one. Both are excellent and very enjoyable. The things I like about the current version are the deep low bass thanks to the down firing sub. Good midrange and smooth highs. The sound is excellent for most music but the bass can get too heavy for me on some heavy bass tracks. That's where being able to adjust the highs and lows with the built in EQ is really nice. The Go+Play 2 is also an excellent speaker with not as much deep bass but a more sparkling high end. Nice wide soundstage and very sweet sounding. On some tracks it can get a bit shrill but overall just a great sound. It's lighter and a bit smaller too.Both are excellent and I'm glad I have them both.

For the price range, I don’t think you’ll find a better option than here. The Go+Play 3 delivers fantastic audio quality, featuring a built-in subwoofer at the bottom of the speaker. Very happy with the HK Go + Play 3. Sound has great clarity, deep accurate bass and a relatively wide sound stage for an all in one portable speaker.Also has hidden eq modes for treble and bass (not mentioned in quick start guide). Push volume +/up and phone icon buttons simultaneously to change treble eq. One yellow flash of the LED light is treble reduction. Two yellow flashes is default or normal. Three yellow flashes is treble boost.For bass eq push Volume -/down and Bluetooth icon simultaneously. Again, one yellow flash for bass reduction, two flashes for default/normal and three for bass boost.Update: I continue to be more and more impressed by this speaker. It responds very well to the Spotify equalizer. Just a slight bump in the lower and mid frequencies and the already great sounding speaker becomes even more alive and absolutely fills the room with clear, rich, realistic sound. The bass is tight, deep and visceral. The vocals are crystal clear, rich and full.I placed it on a nightstand in the corner of a room (this placement enhances the bass). Put it on bass eq 3 and used the Spotify eq to boost the bass even further. On bass heavy songs the results were amazing. It’s almost unbelievable that the 5” subwoofer can put out that much deep bass without distortion! This speaker has a lot of headroom. This was done just for fun as the resulting bass was way too much and over powered the rest of the frequency range. It was literally shaking the walls. No exaggeration!As others have noted, the build quality is very solid. It’s a bit on the heavier side but the weight exudes quality.Update 6-26-24:I liked this speaker so much that I bought a second one to pair it with. The sound quality which was already amazing is on another level now. Using bass eq mode 3 creates bass that is so deep, accurate and distortion free. Enough to vibrate your guts on bass heavy songs. I used a third party equalizer to give it a very slight bump at 400Hz. This added depth to the vocals. The overall sound is rich, clear and full bodied.One minor gripe. I wish the controls were backlit. Without lighting or any type of tactile indication of a button the controls can be hard to locate in dim lightingAlso, this is not a great speaker for outdoor use. It’s best to place it in a corner or close to a wall to optimize the bass from the downward firing subwoofer

I’m pretty picky with my speakers and found most bluetooth speakers were more for the outdoors (waterproof, etc). The material and design of those sacrifices fidelity. I bought and returned multiple speakers until I found this one.Not only does it sound fantastic, but its battery lasts 6ish hours and uses a real plug to charge with.Pairs fast and connectivity is super reliable. There is no app which is fine for me - explains why it’s as inexpensive as it is for the remarkable build and audio quality. Apps cost a lot to develop, incorporate and maintain with updates, etc.The sub speaker projects down and my one big question mark is why it’s unprotected. I’m careful with it and still use it outside - just with care.There is a hidden EQ setting that allows for less treble, normal treble and lots of treble. I like less. Bass stays the same and does not really need adjusting.I was glad to finally find this speaker. Meets and exceeds my expectations.

This seller has a 67% rating according to Bolo and the shock in the support members voice made me worry that this price was too good to be true. Based off the reaction the support member had when he slowly said “67% wow that’s not good!”, needless to say, that had me worried that this was going to be a scam.Fortunately for me, it was not. The reason I questioned it in the first place is because the seller tracking info on Bolo showed the package was picked up by the shipping company, but when I searched the tracking information on the shippers website it showed that the package was never received. 5 days later, and after the support team reached out to the seller, my package was sent and I received it today. I am extremely happy with the sound quality! It had an elegant design with room filling sound. Thank you for not being a scam!

I was thoroughly impressed with the previous generation of Harman Kardon's Go + Play, which exceeded my expectations in every way. The latest Go + Play 3 has taken it to a whole new level! While the design may look familiar, the internal upgrades are a significant leap forward. The sound quality is even more exceptional, with clearer highs and deeper bass. Harman Kardon has truly outdone themselves with this latest iteration, building upon the success of the previous generation and delivering an even more exceptional listening experience. Well done, HK

Fantastic Bluetooth speaker
As someone who has owned many Bluetooth speakers both this size and larger, I can tell you this thing punches well above its weight. Bass is phenomenal and deep and the sound signature is extremely pleasing to listen to, even for long (and loud) sessions.

Amazing sound!
Looks classy with solid build quality, more importantly it sounds terrific! My only gripe is the battery life is limited to 8 hours. In an era where other bluetooth speakers have 24 hour or 30 hour battery lives, 8 hours is paltry.
