These are so helpful to have around the kitchen! They are obviously necessary for the kitchen but these are specifically good. The heat doesn’t go through the gloves which is so nice.

I have used a pair of Ove' Gloves for the longest time. The nice thing about them is they fit snuggly around your hands and you have 5 finger dexterity. They have served their purpose well but I never felt they worked as well as advertised, e.g. when grabbing something hot from the oven I have maybe 15 seconds before I really need to put it down, and their weave construction means they should not be used in steamy applications.The HexClad silicon oven mitts address the two issues I had with the Ove' Gloves, namely they offer better heat shielding protection from high heat, I was able to hold a casserole dish straight from the oven for half a minute and it only felt moderately warm, whereas I would have needed to put down with the Ove' Gloves before then. The silicon portion of the mitts also protect against steam since it's non-porous so the stream doesn't get through, yep, I tested this over a boiling kettle.The silicon mitt has a textured pattern which provides pretty good grip against slippage, while the interior is lined with cotton cloth and a small amount of filling, so it has a little bit of padding.Now, since I'm coming from the Ove' Gloves I do miss the snugness and the 5 finger dexterity, the former more than the latter as the mitts are one size fits all and was made a little larger to accommodate everyone, whereas while having the fingers is nice it's not really necessary for most jobs.

HexClad is honestly the most amazing quality kitchenware products you can get. I’m sure many of you reading this review know who Gordon Ramsey is… this is the brand he used. And to be fair, I didn’t know what an awesome oven mitt was until I got these. I love that the exterior friction of the mitt part is silicon and the honeycomb structure to it makes the mitt incredibly flexible and bend to you will.Overall, the mitts seem very thin, but I can handle my Lodge cast iron skillet coming out of the 500 degree Fahrenheit oven no problem. The silicon makes these easy to wash off residue as well.The interior of the mitt isn’t some random cotton stuffed quality either. Its quilted and soft, but it doesn’t have weird fluff come out on your hand when you pull your hand out.These are amazing and I’m sure if you were wanting to get your friend a nice birthday or christmas gift, they’d love these.

I like the product quality (premium silicon and good grip) except there is no hanging options. Only one glove has a hanging loop. Oops, should I hang just one glove and put another one to a drawer? And this single loop is too tight to be hanged on a regular stove door handle anyway (unlike my previous gloves, see the second photo).

I can start with there isn't anything I don't like about these mitts- they look great hanging on my wall because they are easy to clean and well designed. They are really heat resisitant- I held a hot bread pan for a while and didn't even feel warmth. The insides are comfortable and the outsides with the hexagons are extremely grippy. I have not felt yet that I didn't have a good grip on anything. I really appreciate a well made product and this is. This is such a find for me because I know because of how functional, aesthetically pleasing, easy to clean they are and how effectively they work I will not need to buy another pair of these for a very long time. Highly Recommend ( as if you couldn't tell !)

I absolutely love this oven mitt, it’s the first oven mitt where I literally feel no heat from the item I’m holding. I think it’s a worthy investment, and the quality seems very high end, which gives me faith that it will last for years. Overall, they look great and feel very nice. I know most of us may not need super heat resistant gloves like this but most gloves that I’ve purchased over the years have made me a little nervous because I end up feeling the heat from things straight out of the oven- that does not happen with these mitts! I think this is a worthwhile investment Simply for the Quality aspect. I do wish they came in more fun and feminine colors.!
