The taste must be good; I only have to say “pig ear” and our standard goldendoodle acts like she just won the lottery. The only bummer about these is that they don’t come in a resealable package. I’ve been reusing the bag from the ones we got at Costco. The ears are large and keep our large dog occupied for around 10 minutes, and then she stays calm and satisfied for a good measure of time after that. Generally, if we’re trying to watch a show and she’s going nuts with a squeaky toy, one of these will fix the situation for the duration of the show, and then we can play with a toy after. (In this photo, I gave her one to calm and reward her post-bath.)I’ve never noticed them being oily or smelly (although I don’t deliberately sniff them). If they were oily, my dog would have diarrhea, but that’s never been a problem with these pig ears. They’ve always arrived clean and dry and mold-free. Will continue to buy as long as the price seems good.
5.0 out of 5 stars My dog loves these ears.
I have a year old Rottweiler. He is very food motivated. He will do anything I ask to get his paws on these GigaBite roasted pig ears. When he has an ear, nothing else matters. I can leave the room without him shadowing my every step. I fairly certain that if he sensed a threat, he would protect his pig ear, not me.The ears must taste delicious because my dog is laser focused on chewing his ear. The ears are bigger than I expected. I think they are a good bang for your buck. I have never tasted this treat but, it is Atlas approved.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good value
Great quality, large ears.
4.0 out of 5 stars Superior to what's ''Best For Your Pet''
Started out with BFYP and couldn't be happier with the reasonable price and relatively huge size of the ears. The smell, however, was... tolerable. Fast forward several months and the price gradually crept up and the size of the ears went down. The smell though, still tolerable. Wanting better, we switched to these and BAM! Better price, HUGE size and interestingly, no smell. The only ding is in the somewhat pitiful bag they come in. Not heavy duty or resealable like BFYP. If these maintain, so will I. Recommended.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good value and dog loves them.
My picky big puppy loves these. They don't smell. On our 2nd box.
5.0 out of 5 stars Dogs love them
This box is pretty good for the money. I have two dogs and they get one treat per day. It lasts almost one month. It’s become my go to for a special treat.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Deal
Both my pit bull and my terrier have active mouths. I used to be able to find these for a decent price locally, but in the recent years cannot find them at all without pain of fortune. Both my dogs like how these taste and they keep them busy for a while. I don't like how they feel as far as being slimy, but the dogs really love them and they don't seem to make too much of a mess.
1.0 out of 5 stars Hairy and smelly
Had to toss about 3/4 of the box of pigs ear strips in the trash as most pieces were too thick or a choking hazard.Other pieces needed a shave. The whole box could have used a bath. The smell was putrid.I stopped using Gigibite pigs ear slices a year ago as the quality had slipped but decided to give em another shot. The quality actually sunk to a lower level.Stay away.
