UPDATE: Replacement keyboard works well, actuation and software works as advertised. I have updated my review score. ORIGINAL: The keys that worked felt great. Great software. I've always used Razer mice so i thought i'd try their keyboards. However, "L" key had a lot of resistance when pressed and rebounding. If I'm going to spend $180 on a keyboard, all the keys had better work. I've returned and ordered a replacement and will update this review when it comes in.

I set the actuation to 1mm with rapid trigger being 0.4mm. Games felt noticeably more responsive compared to my old mechanical keyboard with red switches I used for years. The keys have a slight texture to them and typing using the Huntsman is good. It took some time, maybe a week or so before I became acclimated to the sensitive keys. The keyboard does make some noise when typing on it, but it doesn't bother me.

Does what I want it to. Set up is a bit weird as the instruction card is in such small type that it's hard to read without a magnifying glass, but I did find a video Youtube that helped with that. Keys re responsive and have a good tactile feel top them. Perfect for what I use it for.

I had to retire my Logitech G15 from circa 2008 that finally died. I'm a programmer by trade, but a light gamer when I have time. I needed a keyboard with on the fly macros for programming (speeds up making changes to lists).You can change the pressure, function, and color of every key on the keyboard. I have the main keys set to maximum 4 mm for typing, but the larger keys (shift, enter, space) set to 2 mm and herein lies the problem. Good keyboards have a metal bar that balances the force on larger keys so if you hit them on the edge they will still actuate. This keyboard has a bar on every keyswitch, but they don't extend all the way over to the end of the key. As a result, every time I hit the left shift (I'm a left shifter) it has a hesitation. Unfortunately, no amount of driver tweaking can help this physics.The keys seem a little closer together than on my G15 which means I need to keep my nails closely trimmed so I don't hit keys on the upper row. The texture on the tops of the keys is a little more aggressive than on most keyboards, which is nice so your fingers don't slip.If you're sensitive to noise and have a very quiet environment, you can hear the PWM control of the dimming of the LED backlighting. It's not as loud as the inductor whine on my video card, but it's also closer to my ears than the card.This keyboard is well constructed and would probably last as long as my Razer Diamondback Plasma mouse from 2008 that is still here on my desk, but I won't know as unfortunately I can't live with the shift key issue. I tried for a full 5 day work week.

Whenever this keyboard needs a firmware update, it stops working entirely until you update it. If that means I need to login to Windows first (by entering my password) I HAVE TO PLUG IN A DIFFERENT KEYBOARD! It just doesn’t work at all until the firmware is updated. Disgraceful. Has happened twice now, and I had to borrow a keyboard so I could get into windows.My 7 key has completely stopped working. Just dead.I have no doubt there will be additional problems, including with whatever replacement they send me (assuming I can get through their warranty workflow without having a stress induced heart attack). I hate this company. Used to be good. No longer.

So far great keyboard
I had high hopes for this keyboard and it did not disappoint. The switches feel very premium as well as the board. And of course the 0.1mm actuation is amazing it does take a bit to get used to though but you can always turn it down.
