Bought this for our 9 year old grand daughter, and she, as well as her older sister, really enjoyed the projects/experiments included. It was especially nice that they were old enough to read and follow the instructions on their own, with very little adult supervision. They enjoyed making beauty products and soaps, as well as other interesting things. They also got some valuable experience for future science labs in school. It makes science fun! Great purchase for budding young scientists!

We bought this science kit for my Nieces 5th birthday and she absolutely loves it! She loves getting to mix “potions” and make real things. Her favorite thing to make is the perfume. The packaging is nice, simple instructions and even comes with safety glasses that she insists on wearing because safety comes first!

Experiments can be done with the materials in the kit + very simple household items. Some experiments are better than others, but overall, surprisingly engaging. My daughter (8YO) and I spent many hours with this kit.MINUS: there is no explanation of the scientific dimensions of each experiment. Experiments are fun, but if you want them to have any educational value (they have a lot of entertainment value), you will have to provide the explanation yourself.

I like that there's nothing dangerous in there, grand daughter loves it, best if they can read a bit, or you will be doing alot of that, they like the measuring and mixing of course! Teaches how to measure and use a drop of something. Lots of fun!

This was by far my 7 year olds favorite birthday gift. She has done experiments every day for the last 5 days. We have made videos each day as she decided she wanted to start a Girls First Science Kit Club. There are lots of experiments with more than enough materials included. The experiments are age appropriate and need very little help. She loves how the book includes the whys behind each experiment and not just the how tos. I definitely recommend this gift to any child with a curious mind!
