After trying many moisturizing creams, lotions, body butters the only one that I have found that has worked is Kiehl's Creme de Corps, however the scent has left me a little disappointed over the years. Delicia Drench just may be my new fav. It seems to provide the same moisture barrier, but has a more desirable scent. If you are looking for something that has an overly powerful smell this is not it for you. It has a great scent when you smell it from the jar, but once you rub it in it's not overbearing which is quite nice. I think it's quite the right blend and balance of moisture and scent that people want. Like someone else said, it took away the crepeiness of this 51-year-old skin.

The butter has very good hydrating/moisturizing properties. I use organic body butters made with shea and cocoa butter plus carrier oils and I find the Sol de Janeiro Delicia body butter comparable to those butters. I am skeptical of the claims that it instantly resolves the problem of dry skin in the heels and elbows but then I still have to find a body butter or product that resolves that problem for me. I love the fragrance. I do not find it ‘cheap’ at all and it is more sophisticated than the fragrances usually found in the $6 or $10 drug store butters/lotions. In the container the butter smells exactly as stated in the description of the product. Of course once the butter is applied to the skin the fragrance changes and adapts to the body chemistry as well as the environment. I live in hot and humid south Florida, every fragrance that I apply to my skin smells sweeter eventually. I really like how this butter smells on me even when I sweat under the sun in my hot and humid environment. The fragrance changes when worn outside in the heat but it still remains very pleasant, it does not ‘degrade’ in quality or sophistication. It layers well with my favorite perfumes. As per the intensity, I do not find the fragrance overpowering at all but it stays on the skin and the clothing and the bed sheets like a parfume does. I love that too. Application goes very smooth for me, like shown in the ad. It is expensive. It will not last me long because I use a lot of body butter on my skin after the shower at least twice a day. $50 for the bigger jar is a better value but still expensive.

I’m old with respiratory issues and dry skin. This product hydrated my skin better than any other product I’ve used in my life, including dermatologist prescribed. This beats all. However, one small thing…I’m sensitive. My breathing is bad, so while the scent is lovely and I would have loved it in my younger days, with advanced COPD, I can not breathe well while wearing this product on my skin. Please offer a completely unscented version. Please.

I love this lotion! It smells amazing and the scent lasts all day long! It’s very moisturizing and keeps my skin feeling smooth all day and night long. All you need is a small amount or else you’ll be rubbing it on your skin for a while since it’s so thick but regardless I love it. For the price it’s worth it! I highly recommend the spray too!

This cream does the job. It is very very thick. The fragrance is fine. Not my absolute favorite but it doesn't smell bad.

The only scent I like from this line since I don’t like ocean smells. This has sandalwood which makes it mellow and it smells wonderful on me for hours. Also the cream is extremely moisturizing and effective. Size and closure are comfortable albeit small for the price, but I prefer less and great to cheap and mediocre.

The 59 is hands down the best scent from Sol de Janeiro. I always get compliments and questions about what perfume I'm wearing, but half the time it's just this body butter! It feels so great after shaving your legs and doesn't leave you feeling greasy or gross.
