5.0 out of 5 stars My new favorite device!
I recently listened to a health podcast and there was reference to getting better sleep with more oxygen and less co2 in the bedroom. I sleep with my big dogs in my room and it actually makes a big difference in the Co2 levels in my room according to the monitor.I now have a fan in my room that I put in an open window right before bed for 10 minutes or so, then again immediately when I wake up in the morning, no matter the weather and periodically throughout the day as needed. I don’t want to boot my dogs out, so I mitigate where I can. When the weather is nice again, I will make a concerted effort to have my windows open more. Also, I like that it has temperature and humidity gauges. It is rechargeable, just plug it in like my phone. The battery has lasted weeks so far. Just recharged it for the first time.
5.0 out of 5 stars Rechargeable and seems pretty accurate
The media could not be loaded. I say it seems accurate because I don't have another meter to compare it with but if I put it outside it reads little more than 400ppm, inside my house it reads around 800-900 ppm and if I blow on it, it goes up to around 1,500 to 2,5000 ppm.Inside my grow tent where I need it, its reading around 470ppm to 550ppm (unless I breathe on it). I have a couple carboys brewing wine inside my grow tent to try and get the ppm to increase, but so far it does not appear to be working.
4.0 out of 5 stars For monitoring at home surely to be advised
ProSolid hardware versus priceDesignGreat display CO2 measurement, including traffic light barRechargeable battery (no permanent 220V connection)Long accu cycle timeEasy to programmContraNo alarm set point in instruction leafletBuzzer does not trigger when alarm is reached (hence 4 stars)Addition to review dated 16-03-‘24My message to Temtopus.com:Recently I received the Temtop type C1 CO2 monitor. At which CO2 level will the buzzer be triggered? No Info in the Instruction booklet about that. See picture.Answer Temtopus.comIf the CO2 level's changing from green to yellow, or changing yellow to red, it can both trigger buzzer alarm. My action after answer of Temtopus.com:Simulated testing, learned that indeed the buzzer is triggered at threshold levels. Two very short soft beeps can be heard.4 stars unchanged.Johan (from 'The Netherlands)
5.0 out of 5 stars So far so good.
I can say without a doubt the temperature and humidity are almost 1:1 with my thermpro device. This is the only CO monitor I have but it seems fairly accurate. Airing out the room gets it down to around 400 but then around 2500+ at night. I guess it’s normal since exhaling increases it.Definitely gives me peace of mind and an idea about when to open windows and air out the room. Now I try to keep it around 1000+ before I start to notice the air quality go down.It definitely helps!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great monitor.
It is accurate and showing low level of CO. This morning it was in the yellow region. I got worried and started looking in the house but then realized here in Colorado we have 4 raging fires in our foothills. So I guess it works too good.
3.0 out of 5 stars Just Okay
I have the Temtop M2000 hand monitor. I added this model because it has a longer battery life so I can leave it on all night hoping to get alerts if the C02 goes into a red zone. The readings between the 2 monitors differ by over 100 ppm so accuracy is questionable. Also this model doesn't have a backlight so you can't see it during the night unless you turn on a light. At this price point I can deal with not having a light but I'm not sure which of the 2 monitors is most accurate. Customer Service is excellent and responsive but we were not able to solve this problem. Since the monitor hasn't gone into the red zone I can't say whether or not the alert works. I'm keeping it but can't give it 5 stars.UPDATE: I recalibrated both monitors and they are syncing more often now, to within 50 ppm. The long battery life is impressive but this monitor rarely goes over 800 ppm when the handheld monitor is beeping in the red zone at much higher levels. Not sure why this particular monitor doesn't go high enough to hit the buzzer. Since the handheld was tested and approved by EPA I trust it more. For the price point this monitor is adequate but if you have issues with high C02 levels I recommend getting the Temtop handheld.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works great
Easy setup and works well.
1.0 out of 5 stars Unit failed within 90 days of use
Not good. I bought this for use in my van and it failed after the return policy completed. The CO2 alarm did not work. Avoid if a working CO2 sensor is important to you.
