Bought this mount for my iPhone 5 a few years ago from Best Buy. I've tried other mounts and this one is by far my favorite. The plastic rod between the suction cup and phone mount is flexible. Imagine bending a salt water taffy, except this is like 50x as strong. It does NOT lose shape or sag over time. Suction mechanism is great and lasts everything seems built well. I mount it to the lower left corner of my windshield and bend the shaft so my phone fits neatly and tucked back between my door and steering wheel.I had mine for like 2 or 3 years with no problems. There were a handful of times where I would go out to my car and notice the mount had fallen down for no apparent reason. Just pressed the release suction button, put it back, crank it back down and boom. Solid. It didn't happen often at all. I think maybe it was just from intense temperature changes on the glass. Didn't bother me none.Sometimes i would take it down, usually when visiting friends in a neighborhood where there's always at least 2 cars on the block with black trash bags covering a broken window. I was rushing one time and didn't fully engage the release suction button while taking it off. Ripped the mount clean off of the suction cup. Literally the rubber suction cup was still on my windshield, everything else was in one unit in my hand. Anywho, I tried expoxying it back together to no avail, so I ordered a new one. That's how much I liked it. I hope it's still available in a few years in case I'm ever in need of a new one

I tried many cheaper phone holders but only Bracketrons seem to work long term. I had a customer break my last one that lasted Me 2 years. I tried cheap ones from local auto parts stores and was sadly disappointed. They kept unsticking and falling or losing grip. Even when new. I ordered this Bracketron model from Bolo that was close to my old one, and it's working great! Good grip!
1.0 out of 5 stars Phone mount keeps becoming detached from the base/arm
When I first installed this, I thought it was excellent. The suction base and arm have a nice super strong grip on a good flat surface and hold up very well. But after a short time of actual use, a huge problem has developed. The phone grip keeps coming detached from the arm. It has a slot that the arm goes into and slides to lock in place, but the lock is not effective. With vibration from the vehicle during travel, it eventually just will slide and slip off of the hook on the arm and the grip and the phone go flying. It is dramatically worse if you want to have your phone oriented with the display in landscape fashion as opposed to portrait. In a landscape orientation, the phone mount just keeps coming detached constantly... it is unusable is this orientation. In portrait orientation, it work much better, but the phone has come detached several times now. When driving in urban areas and relying on navigation, this is completely unacceptable. At least most of my driving is in more relaxed conditions and I can at least pull over when convenient and go find where my phone went flying off to.

I didn’t think ahead but I personally like to have my hand resting on my stick shift especially if I’m going between sport mode reversing etc it’s annoying that even without anything in the cup holder it’s just in the way … u go to circle k get a thirst buster cup put ur car in reverse or something boom ur gonna break ur styrofoam cup if ur not paying attention or or maneuver in a weird way to just get to ur stick so up to u … the twist feature to lock it into place easily loosens as well , u go to move ur phone adjustment an that exert will move it , try taking ur drink out moves as well not like drastically but it is annoying I’ve had ones I’ll pull with a lot of strength an that lock doesn’t budge so this lock just doesn’t compare… sucks bc most those vent phone holders are to far away and the dash suction cup ones don’t stick bc it’s not a flat surface on my dash an the heat effects them … in general I like the adjustable rod they have for the phone holder I hate those bracket looking ones the rod beats those when it comes to length so u can have ur phone closer an it won’t take as much space .. if they could make one that idk attaches to the mirror thing above to the side left or right that won’t be so bad honestly so make one an cut me a check for that idea ur welcome

I really liked this . is not cheap plastic, but a heavy duty holder. Unfortunately, will not fit a galaxy note with an extended battery pack nor any folding phone. bracket depth is made for standard phone. reached out to company who recommended a different model (which also did not fit). If they would just make bracket depth deeper, it would work perfectly. with the popularity of the folding phones, Brakerton needs to fix this.

I bought three of these. They all performed great at first. The grip mechanism is the best I've seen, holds any phone very securely. A press of the button releases the phone easily, except on one the button was very hard to press. The latching mechanism to connect the gripping mechanism to the windshield mount is very frail an broke immediately on all three. This means the gripping mechanism will lift off the mount easily and I have dropped the phone in the car multiple time because of that. The worst part is the suction cup mechanism has failed on all three within 9 months, won't stay stuck on the windshield anymore. I can't be buying a new $25 mount every 9 months.

I really like it but, on the vent holder I wish it extended also bc I bought it for when I use my gps I have tinnitus and need it to be closer to me so that I may hear my phone better but other than that I really like it. I have not used the suction yet and I know it extends!
Très bon support de voiture pour cellulaire
Très facile à fixer sur le pare-brise de la voiture. Il s'ajuste bien et permet d'avoir le téléphone bien en vue pour pouvoir suivre mon trajet avec le GPS.Tiens très bien en place et il est facile d'y installer et retirer le cellulaire.
