5.0 out of 5 stars Best printer I've bought

    P.P. · January 12, 2025

(function(){ P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function'){ A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })() I love this thing. It is so fast and quite easy to use. My favorite part is probably the direct drive extruder, second favorites would be the leveling system and speed while still capturing amazing detail. It is my 4th printer. I also have an ender 3, an ender 5 plus and a geeetech mizar and I've been 3d printing for about 3 years now. The flashforge has been on my wishlist for a while and while sometimes it can be glitchy logging into my flashforge account and it seems to be better to use a lan connection than the network printing option, this printer is so much easier to use than any I've worked with so far. I can use filament with this printer, that my other printers have major issues with but it prints practically perfect in the flashforge adventure 5m. (It has also convinced me I need to consider installing direct drive extruders on my enders) I would totally recommend it as a first printer to start with or an upgrade if you're already into 3d printing and can't afford a much better one. I talked my brother into buying one...after he saw mine, it wasn't that difficult to convince him lol. I plan to get another eventually as well. It's priced pretty reasonable, especially with the frequent sales (if it's not on sale, wait, it will go on sale). For the price point and ease of use, it is definitely going to be what I start recommending 3d beginners to start with.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun for useful and useless projects..

This 3D printer has been fun! Setup was surprisingly easy, which was a huge relief since I'm not exactly a tech whiz. And it's been working flawlessly ever since. We've been having a great time exploring all the free projects available online and printing everything from phone stands to tiny dragons (because, why not?).The WiFi connectivity makes it super easy to use – no fumbling with cables, but you can also use a thumb drive to load projects. We've had the printer for about two months now, and haven't encountered any issues whatsoever. It's been a smooth and enjoyable experience. My only thing to note is that it doesn't come with much filament to get you started. I'd highly recommend ordering a few extra spools when you purchase the printer, so you can dive into printing right away without any delays.Overall, this 3D printer is fantastic. It's easy to use, reliable, and opens up a whole world of creative possibilities. Be prepared to make a lot of things you don't actually need, but are incredibly fun to create. If you're looking for a 3D printer that's easy to get started with and offers endless entertainment, I highly recommend this one!

Shipping was fast.Install easy. If not there is plenty of support and videos to help someone if lost.WARNING: Do not put filament sample that is shipped with this printer on its holder. Doing so may cause damage to the machine. Ask me how I know. My filament sample was wounded up and I thought I Had it completely untangled and set the filament on its designed location but since this filament doesn’t come on a roll the filament just has a mind of its own. My filament was no longer sliding and ended up becoming too tight for the printer to pull the filament to the nozzle. I may have a damaged product now because of this. We will see. And I will update weather support is helpful or not.I’m a complete amateur on 3D design and the printing process. I did run TinkerCad and was able to print a few things with a little bit of a learning curve. Without YouTube I would have been lost. Best of luck.UPDATED: It has taken time for me to learn how to design things and after a few weeks I put this printer to use. Long story short, this printer has failed me after 7 different prints. I mean actual printers where something takes 30 mins to 3 hours to complete. My failure started when I was printing things back to back trying to fine tone my design and I ended up with a lot of Filament in a large blob pile instead of any sort of design. I tried to clean the nozzle right quick and try my luck again but I only ended up with a smaller blob of plastic. I decided to give the printer a rest and to try my design again but only doing one part on the layout instead of 2 or 3. This didn't go so well. The printer didn't go home or calibrate correctly on its on and when it started to print the nozzle dug into the base plate causing deem scoring marks. I tried to buff them out and the plate is probably going to be ok for what i need out of the printer but that's not the issue now. My issue continues to be filament not coming out when changing filament. More so I cant get the printer to even print a practice cube. I've tried completely cleaning the nozzle, removed the extruder and filament completely and made sure the extruder gears are messed with no missing or broken wheel cogs or teeth and watched the gears spin and feed the filament into the nozzle. My nozzle temp gets up to 280 degrees but still things are not feeding or spray out even the smallest practice designs. I cant even get a line up mark on the base plate. This printer is supposedly suppose to be simple and great for beginners. With my background in fixing robots and machinery this thing is giving me hell. I can only hope flash forge does away with this model.I would love nothing more than my money back or a newer model this thing needs to go in the trash. I had a feeling things would go south after the issue at setup and they did.

A truly Plug and Play 3D Printer - AMAZING!

This is my first venture into 3D printing and thanks to the Flashforge Adventurer 3 i am well and truly hooked! My brother is massively into 3D printing and i have asked him to print me some items in the past, he suggested i looked at buying myself one, but to be honest, whilst i am very good at new tech, 3D printing looked way too complicated for even me!Whilst browsing the Bolo daily deals i came across this printer, reading the reviews and watching a few online videos everyone seemed to be saying this device required very little knowledge and just kind of worked straight out of the box - i decided to take the plunge and ordered! When the printer arrived i was immediately super impressed by the build quality of the device and the super smart appearance of the machine. I looked at the instructions included and to be honest they were beyond pointless! I therefore watched a setup video online and hooked up the device. To my amazement it really was just plug and play! I had to download the flashprint 5 software which is free from the manufacturers website - again there is no real instructions on how to use this software but online videos helped me through it and it actually was pretty simple! The printer comes with a small test roll of 250g PLA filament in red. Loading the filament was super easy, just place the roll inside the machine, feed the end into the printer and use the touch screen to pull the filament through. The touch screen guides you through the whole process.I was now ready for my first 3D print - Super Excited! I downloaded a couple of free .STL files and loaded them into Flashprint, clicked a couple of buttons and it send the file to the printer. The display on the printer sprung to life and informed me it was receiving the file, it then displayed a nice 3D image of the item i was printing - which was a Benchy (tug boat). The print took around 1hr 30 mins but WOW - how good did this little boat look!!! That's it i was hooked!! I ordered some more filament in black from Bolo and my next project was a skull that could hold pens/pencils. That has now been printing for around 8hrs and has around 3hrs left - so yes it's not a fast process - the machine takes it time, but the detail is just so amazing! What i love about the machine is that it is super quiet, it does not smell when printing, the print area is fully enclosed, touch screen is great, footprint is nice and compact, internal lights make checking on your print really easy, heat up time is astonishingly fast! Biggest plus is that it really is plug and play with no 3D printing knowledge needed! What i didn't like so much about the machine was, camera is pretty poor quality - you also can not view this in the slicing software but instead have to go to the printers IP address to view - it's good enough for you to check on your print but it's quite dark and lacking in detail, the quality looks like VGA rather than 720p. The printer can also only house 500g reels of filament, which are not value for money compared to larger 1kg rolls, however you can easily solve this buy purchasing a filament holder and having your PLA on the outside of the machine. The print bed is fairly small allowing a max of 150mmx150mmx150mm prints - but for a beginners machine i feel that size print is fine for an introduction into the world of 3D printing. In summary, if you are looking at getting into 3D printing then i very highly recommend you look at investing in the Flashforge Adventurer 3 machine - you honestly can not go wrong with this smart looking device! It is truly is ideal for a novice/beginner who has extremely limited knowledge of this daunting hobby. If you are a more experienced 3D printer then you may want to look elsewhere as this machine is pretty locked down in terms of firmware and customisation options.A truly amazing 3D Printer - i am totally in love with this device! I know for a fact i will be upgrading in the future and getting another machine that can perhaps print a little faster and have a larger print area. I will definitely consider getting another larger flashforge printer as i am super impressed with their product.I can not recommend this enough!!! Over the Moon with it!I hope that you found my review helpful

    m.g. · February 19, 2021

The media could not be loaded.

    Plug and play
