This is a nice tripod, to be clear it's a single device that can be either a tripod or a selfie stick. There is a button in the bottom that releases the 3 tripod feet and it's pretty stable in most positions.The "Magsafe ring" that is included with it is a complete ring, and does not have the required break in it, and it doesn't have the alignment tab found on typical Magsafe rings. if you plan to use this only with the tripod it will be fine, but you should get a proper Magsafe ring if you plan to use wireless charging with your phone, this is because a proper MagSafe ring has a break in it, preventing it from being a complete ring. This is VERY important because it prevents wireless chargers from inducing an electric current in the ring itself. An electric current in the ring itself is bad for two reasons, first, it heats up the ring, and second it uses up energy that could instead be used to charge your phone, making the QI charging less efficient.I put the included Magsafe ring in the wrong position on an old phone case, so I could extend how far out the phone lens could be from the tripod, this way I could have a Straight down shot and not have the tripod feet in the picture, it also can't interfere with wireless QI charging if I forget what case I have the phone in. The magnet had no problem holding it like this, but the overhanging weight is a little too far out for the spacing of the tripod feet, so I have to be careful when I do this, so it doesn't tip over, but it's not too bad.The tripod can be extended quite high, 25" to the center of the phone, as it has 5 telescopic sections. Extending and retracting the telescopic sections works well, there are no locks, but there is enough friction that it just stays where you put it.The tripod also has a ball head on the end making it very easy to position any way you would want to, then lock it down with a single screw that has a nice lever on it.This also comes with a remote shutter button. This worked GREAT! It was so easy to set up and use with my Samsung Galaxy S10+ I just turned it on, and its light started blinking, so I went to my Bluetooth settings and paired it to my phone, then just went to the stock photo app that came with the phone and hit the button on the remote, and it took a shot! It has a power button on the side to save its batter when not in use as the constant Bluetooth connection would run down its CR2032 battery. It does connect very fast, and it works great!Overall, I am very happy with this tripod and the remote shutter. Although the magnetic ring it comes with shouldn't be used for wireless charging, using it on an old case to get more positioning options turns out to be a benefit. I find it easy to position just the way I want it and it folds up into a pretty small space.

I have several mini and full sized tripods, but I’ve found myself reaching for this one more often on a daily basis.It’s not because it’s the most sturdy or versatile—but because it solidly delivers with easy assembly and dissasembly.What I mean is, this is the kind of thing that’s easy to just grab and go with. It folds down to an extremely compact size and just takes a quick screw and/or twist to get it up and running.The magnetic component is plenty strong: it can easily hold my iPhone 15 Pro Max in a bulky OtterBox Defender XT case with MagSafe—even when used extended as a selfie stick.And, even though this appears to be primarily made of plastic, it is the thickened kind that feels durable. It’s not that “cheap plastic” that one might expect—but it’s also not higher quality metal.Of further note is the selfie stick. It is likely sufficient for most, but I do wish it could extend a tad bit further. But whereas others can slip, slide and tip over, this one has not given me any trouble.Lastly, the cold shoe that comes attached is plastic and comes so close to not clearing the Pro Max in a thick case that I would be slightly hesitant to rely on it, though it is sufficient for quick shoots.

I got this so i can mount my level and have adjustability. It does not go high though so i still use a small ladder to table ot any counter/surface to rest but atleast this stand can balance the level. The screw is universal but it comes with other plates for several standard camera mount screws

I've struggled with other selfie sticks in the past. Especially when it came to attaching my iPhone and hoping (praying!) that it was secure and wouldn't go crashing to the ground. Eek! The MagSafe addition to this VRIG selfie stick tackles that issue flawlessly. No fiddling with gears, etc. The UBER-STRONG magnet holds your phone securely in place in the blink of an eye -- no fuss, no muss. Love it! (They even provide a ring magnet if you're phone isn't already equipped with one.)I also LOVE the fact that this selfie stick has a built-in tripod in the handle. You just press the button on the bottom of the stick and -- voila -- the tripod opens out like an umbrella. It's sturdy too, and when you're finished with it, it easily closes back into the handle with a snap. Genius! There's the usual adjustability of the length of the stick itself, of course, and it's pretty easy to manipulate.Also, it comes with a little remote control to snap your photos. It paired very easily with my iPhone Bluetooth and works like a charm. No more dealing with voice control picture-taking and all the steps involved -- you just push the button. I have had other sticks where there was a designated groove for the little camera remote to live, and this one doesn't seem to have one. The remote itself does have a hole in it, though, so you could attach it onto a keychain, etc. (I actually wound up losing the remote from my old stick since apparently it slipped out of its groove on the handle.) Keep a close eye on the remote -- it's great and you don't want it to disappear.This stick doesn't fold up quite as compactly as other sticks I've had -- but its unique features definitely catapult it to the top of the list! A winner.

I got this to use on vacation with my family instead of asking people to take pictures of us. The tripod is really nice and easy to use with the magsafe function. It cuts down a lot of time setting it up since you just attach it to the magnetic portion. The tripod is very sturdy when opened all the way so I trust leaving it up to take a picture. Definitely recommend this.
