Have been looking for a good toilet paper holder for a few months now after the one that was original installed decided to fall off the wall. This holder is perfect, steady, stable and fits my decor. Even my hubby loves it. It was pretty easy to install and I’ve tested even my heavy, full coffee cup on it and it stays in place!

This thing is sturdy enough for use as intended, but not spectacular.The holder is essentially just an immovable thin metal rod jutting out from under a tiny tray-style shelf. The roll is held on by a small 3/8”-ish diameter ball stuck to the end of the post. The edge of the roll regularly rubs against the ball which seems to create a little more dust with my plush toilet paper than the spring-loaded holders I’m more used to. Or perhaps the black color only makes it more apparent.Installation couldn’t have been easier. There’s an adhesive patch, as well as some drywall anchors and screws. For where I had to put it, I only used the adhesive patch. I imagine it’ll fall off at some point, and that’ll be my fault. For now, however, it feels solid enough for me. Which brings me to my next part.It will do the trick for me, but I foresee potential issues for some. The metal is solid enough for light, as-intended use only. It is fairly easy to bend and warp (mine came pre-warped in a perfect-looking box, but still useable), so if you have someone in the home who would be tempted to lean on it, even if you do plan on installing it with screws, I’d steer clear. I can see children or anyone who experiences difficulty with sitting or standing (if there aren’t more sufficient grab bars) leaning on this and easily damaging it or themselves. I would never ever put this in a commercial setting. Not only for that reason, but also…If your bathroom is cozier, make sure everyone’s anatomy has more than enough clearance where it’s being installed. The lip on the shelf is nice for the phone, but not pleasant for the bottom or legs. The edges of that lip are just barely sharp enough to scrape skin with moderate force, such as one might use while sitting down. Protect everyone’s buns with several inches of extra space. I doubt it would cause serious injury, but this holder is not worth putting anyone through that if you don’t have ample space.I know it sounds like I’m talking trash about this thing, but it really is just what it looks like. It’s largely what I expected and what I wanted. I just wish I’d considered those sharpish edges and the small space I have, and I wanted to make some cons known to anyone considering the purchase.

It almost works as described. Mounted very easily and seems secure. But I keep pulling the role of toilet paper off. The rod for it is not long enough or something needs to secure the end.

The whole point of an apparatus like this is so that you can get the toilet paper with one hand and you don't have to use both hands to hold and unravel the toilet paper. You still have to use both hands, and if you don't, your roll is going to fall on the floor every time.
