5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Lights
These are very nice-looking well-built lights. Was surprised at the weight of these for their size. Not heavy but not light like you would expect from a cheap plastic product. Super easy to install. With a standard switch they work perfectly with three modes. 1 - light only 2 - night light only 3 - light and night light. They retain the last mode as long as you wait and don't just turn the light off and back on. When they are on you can't tell there are any LED chips inside. They fully illuminate the lens. Installed three of these down a long wide L shaped hallway and they really light it up. Also installed one at an entryway door (without a smart switch) and it looks great and functions as it should. Huge upgrade to the ugly old original brass dome lights that were in the house. Unfortunately, they do not function with TreatLife 3-way smart switches (read update). They only work in light mode with these switches even if you turn the switch on manually. I think it has something to do with the very light load of these lights. My first test was on a three-way circuit with two lights. I left one of the two original lights intact and installed the first of these and it function perfectly. After installing the second one they no longer functioned to change mode. Also installed one on a single pole smart switched circuit with just one light and it also does not function to change modes. Oh well they are nice looking bright lights, so I am going to keep them. Would be nice to be able to set the color temperature with a small switch from the outside but realistically it only takes a second to remove the light from its bracket to change the color with the internal switch. Probable will rarely change the color anyway. 4 stars (update to 5 stars now) since they don't function correctly with TreatLife smart switches.Update:5 Stars now! Love these lights! As it turns out I had installed a Leviton 3-way lit switch in the circuit. This switch introduced a very small current into the circuit when the lights were off so the circuitry in the lights didn't think the lights had actually been turned off. This prevented them from switching modes. Since I really wanted to keep the lit switches, I wound up install a Lutron LUT-MLC minimum load capacitor in the circuit. These are basically designed to help with flickering issues on some Lutron dimmers but also work to solve all sorts of other LED issue having to do with strange electronic phenomena. This just wires in parallel to the light in the box with the same black and white wires. Problem solved. Lights work exactly as they should now. The device dose not generate any heat like a resistor would have, which would also solve the problem. So, it wasn't the Treatlife smart switch causing the problem after all. I actually installed a Treatlife smart dimmer in another circuit in a bathroom with an eight-bulb vanity light. I almost returned the lights because they flickered really bad on a standard circuit. But after installing the Treatlife dimmer the flickering went away. Probably has a similar capacitor inside or some other magic electronics.
5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome lights, but not great with dimmers
I love these lights! They are incredibly easy to install, they look so much better than the dome-style lights that we originally had, and you can choose from multiple brightness levels to suit your tastes. My only issue was that we have most of our lights set up on Caseta dimmers and control them with Alexa, so they don't always behave as you might want them to. For example, we have six lights over our kitchen, and depending on how/when you turn them on or off, you will likely never get all six lights to look the same (some with the nightlight on and the main light off, some with just the nightlight, some with both). However, the ones we have installed with a standard switch work perfectly and look great, so I'm not going to take away any stars because I assumed we'd have the issues we're experiencing based on our setup. I will get a set of non-nightlight lights for the kitchen and use these nightlight-enabled lights elsewhere throughout the house.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great light for it’s size.
These lights are easy yo install and work very well. The 3 brightness settings make them very flexible. These a worth the price.
5.0 out of 5 stars Lights
These lights are similar to recess lights but don't sit flush to ceiling. They have 3 different settings, one is just the light, one is the light and the night light ring and third is the night light ring. They are also dimmable. Very cool and awesome. Easy to install and would buy them again.
5.0 out of 5 stars Easy install
These lights are so easy to work with. We changed three of our lining fixtures with these in less than a half an hour. I love the night light feature
5.0 out of 5 stars Cool lights for the money
They are 3 way style. Night light, bright light, and both. Both really isn't needed but I still like them a lot. Good for a little light when not at home or for the kids. Easy install. Better than the pineapple looking lights I had
5.0 out of 5 stars Great value
