She has moderate dementia and very limited powers of figuring out anything “complicated”. These lovely photo-pictures bring her joy even just to look at, and she likes the feel of the sturdy cards, and putting them in the correct slots. I tend to mix 2 sets up and present her with one “base” card, to involve a bit more sorting on her part. I also get her to read me the word on each card (I pretend I don’t have my reading glasses on!). All in all, a great activity, beautifully made.

6 different themes in the kit with various photos of nature, trees, flowers. Used these with client with dementia and thrse were a fun springboard to what the person's favorite flower is or about a time they had seen a tree like one on the photo. The only frustration is the cards fall out of place easily, so need a secure way such as a pouch to hold the puzzles, to transport these.

I really liked these puzzles for my mom, she's usually bored and watches tv most of the time. These puzzles help stimulate her mind, not like regular puzzles. These help with picture recognition and helps her think of what category each piece falls into. Not only was it fun for her, my toddler also likes to join and play also. It's a win for us because it's hard for me to get her to play with my kids, this definitely did the trick!

The quality of the puzzle is good but the cards are hard to put back into place for older people. The concept of matching is a helpful tool.

The pieces are made of sturdy cardboard, very thick and durable. They should last a long time. The images are bright and easy to see. Comes with conversational ideas. Some of them tap into memory, which may be difficult for some people. But overall this is well thought out and a good addition for activities of people who struggle with sight and/or with memory or processing issues. A good way to provide some interactive time to connect with someone.

Updated: We have been using this activity board for several months now. The pieces have held up fantastically. I highly recommend this for dementia patients. They can leverage multiple ways - either through matching the pieces to the same one on the board, or even as simple as sorting and stacking the pieces. I am pleased with this activity kit and would recommend as an activity for people with dementia.These are very thick pieces and very vibrant in color! I like that they have the most basic plants and animals, which will be great for either toddlers or in my case, senior with dementia. Each cardboard mat has 4, 6 or 12 squares. Each of the squares has a plant or animal that is printed on a piece of cardboard that fits perfectly within one of the squares of the cardboard mat. This is very simple - match the golden retriever dog to the golden retriever dog on the mat. I like that it has matching by 4 squares, 6 squares and even 12 squares to allow for all levels.As a bonus, there is an activity book with some suggested activities to do with dementia seniors. Things like set them in front of a window/door to watch birds around a bird house, read them a book, etc. All great recommendations and appropriate activities. I'm looking forward to using this and think it will be a hit. Would highly recommend for dementia patients that might not take to puzzles.

I ordered this game for my mom who suffers from dementia and she loved it. The game cards have nice colorful photos that make her smile (pets, flowers, birds). The set increases the levels of difficulty by adding more photos to each card. Although she has difficulty with her words, she tries her best to read the names on the cards which is a good challenge for her. The cards are strong and good quality. I like that this included flyers with conversation starters - definitely good to promote conversation - and the activity book has some great suggestions. I was very impressed with this activity set.
