I give this office chair floor mat two thumbs up. I have no complaints or critiques about it. It’s plastic, it’s clear with spikes for non-slip-on carpet. My last floor mat was much larger and eventually cracked to pieces but this one is smaller but much better at the same time. My only challenge was getting it rolled out as that moment became comical because I was trying to do it alone and if I had read the instructions, I would have known that it recommends two people. See, the roll of the mat was so stiff that for one end to lie flat, the other end must be secured. I tried laying heavy books on them, but it just wasn’t happening…I waited until my husband got home and he ended up being able to lay it flat all by himself. Well, the point of mentioning this includes 1) read instructions and 2) there could be more than one way to do something and finally 3) work smarter not harder. This is a great office chair mat! I keep winning.

The media could not be loaded. The arms don't stay tight so they are always falling and I'm always trying to tighten them, it's a pain. Would not buy another.

This chair mat is a nice addition to my office area. I originally planned to use it in a room with carpet to help my chair roll more easily, but it is definitely made for a harder surface. Once I got it there though, it worked great. The lip fits under my desk nicely which I thought was great. i don't roll around in a lot of space, but carpet doesn't make for good rolling in a chair. this mat is perfect. it doesn't have the spikes like the bigger ones, but it still stays put. it forms flat pretty quick out of the box and the chair glides over it. it's a good buy!

This carpet pad helps my ergonomic chair glide smoothly and also protects the carpet. The pointy things at the bottom make it fixed to the floor. It is thick and made of durable plastic. I highly recommend this without any reservations!

I got this item for my mother who is using a wheeled task chair on the living room floor to work at her desk.The mat comes rolled and needs to have a few heavy items placed on it for a few days so that it stays unrolled. That's not a problem, it's to be expected. The mat is so light, though, that it just doesn't seem to sit on the carpet well, and it has no little spikes to hold it to the carpet. And because it is light, the chair has just as much trouble rolling as it did when it was just on the carpet (the carpet, by the way, is flat with no pad underneath. We're in an old house with quickly laid carpets.)It's not a bad mat, it just is too light and doesn't work well on carpets. If it's purchased for a hard floor, I doubt there will be a problem.
