5.0 out of 5 stars Great quality
I installed this magnetic drain plug on my 2012 Hyundai Sonata Limited 2.4L and was pleasantly surprised by it's high quality and perfect fit.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fits good
Worked good on my oil pan
4.0 out of 5 stars It's priced right, and it is magnetic.
Fits fine in my 2007 Honda Odyssey. Should also work fine in any other car with a J35 engine. It was cheaper to buy this plug with the included aluminum crush washer than it was to buy a crush washer by itself at a local auto parts store. It is stainless, and magnetic. I'll know in another 7,500 miles if the magnet stays magnetic, and stays attached. It is interesting to note that the head is very different from the original drain plug, and from most automotive fasters. The original drain plug has a formed head, and the replacement has a machined head. The original uses a 17mm wrench, while the replacement has a sloppy fit with a 15mm wrench and a reasonable fit with a 9/16" wrench -- which is weird. But it's installed and it is keeping the oil in the pan where it belongs.
5.0 out of 5 stars Drain plug
Works perfectly for my model mdx
3.0 out of 5 stars Worked for 2020 Mazda CX-5
Fit perfectly, I took off two stars bc it came with no washers
5.0 out of 5 stars Simple and seals properly - be sure mechanic uses the washers.
Being magnetic allows some metal to be captured from the oil on the plug and can be wiped away at an oil change. Remind your oil changer to make sure washers are in place. If they lose a washer removing your oil drain plug while changing your oil then make them replace the entire old plug and give you the old one - no substitute washers should be used. If it is dripping oil in your drive way after you get home after an oil change they have left off the washer (s) or improperly tightened the plug. Always check your oil level the following day after driving some (before a long trip) after an oil change. Make sure they replace the plug with a properly set torque wrench to prevent stripping the threads on your oil pan. And make sure they top off your oil to the proper level! (Check your oil level when you get gas)
5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality and craftsmanship
I enjoy working on my car, sometimes changing OEM original parts to OEM performance. This addition helps me track and check on engine shavings or particles being unfiltered but caught by the magnetic tip. Is powerful and brought 3 washers for extras. Good choice, fast shipping, highly recommend!
