These fire blankets are easy to hang in your kitchen and you can count on them to do the job of putting out a fire. They are safer than salt or trying to put a lid on the pot or pan on a grease fire. Because they block you from the heat and flames.

Bought and shared half of items to another family member for their kitchen. Luckily, I haven't had the situation where I have had to use this but from the literature I have seen on similar items, they appear to work. The price was right and my only hope is that I will never have to test them out.

My husband is a retired firefighter. He likes the idea of smothering the fire. In a kitchen a fire extinguisher can sometimes spread the grease and fire. The blanket has a handy hook to hang by and a quick release tab . For some situations this is great. I bought all of family ones also
