5.0 out of 5 stars Nice bite size drone.
(function(){ P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function'){ A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })() It's alright, easy af to fly and cruise. Save yourself the trouble and get the Pavo20 Pro. Since replaced this one and it collects dust.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fun drone!
First drone ever owned. Flying under the recreational flyer act. This drone is awesome, managed to fly for more than 2 minutes without crashing today, on my first ever maiden flight outside. Calculated 30 crashes based in the amounts of videos automatically created. The drone did not break. Note that DJI remotes only supports Mode 1 and Mode 2 controller scheme for flying. When practicing on simulators, ensure you pick one of this, and not Mode 3 or 4.Tips to others configuring the Pavo with both a setup with both a DJI controller 2 and Googles.1- UART is on port 52- update both controller and O3 air unit for initial setup and binding.3- On the Googles, set the video to HD to match canvas from Betaflight. This would align the desired OSD on the screen.4-I ran into a known behavior, where after configuration and paring the drone, the throttle would not work, but the other channels did. This prevented the drone from ascending after arming. To resolve this, make sure to backup your current save so you can restore from it afterward in betaflight. I updated the F4 controller using the text format firmware file through CLI(command line interface) in Betaflight, and then reloading my old configuration file afterward. The firmware can be found from Betafpv site.5- Camera resolution set to 1080p/100fps will produce lower transmission latency while in FPV.6- Watch the weight with battery on drone, it will influence the flying characteristics. On a windy day, I tried a 730MAH 2s battery and it was difficult to have control. It sag down too often. A 3S 550mAh battery performed well though. I was afraid it would be too fast, but it was just about right. Managed to keep the drone under control with it.7-You need to practice on the drone simulators. With about 4 hours of practice myself, I need way more. Still a amateur.8- For first flight, I would suggest to try it outdoor and away from people. Avoid flying on windy day.9- In Betaflight, mode “user 1” is the assigned function that handles the LED strip. You can assign a AUX key to toggle the light one and off.
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing drone for the size and price is great
So I bought these drones well 3 of them plan on getting more because there literally that fun I had absolutely no problems uart 5 everything g bound up all three of them my daughter and my son we have literally been flying these everyday they are a blast now to get down to it the drone is made for slower speeds and it's really smooth but if u want to push it like it do it does actually rip pretty fast ive built 40 5 inch drones 10 long range drones and i literally forbthe past month have been sculpting my house and yard for a race track in and out love these little guys i run all zee batts rc trucks all my drones I've bought 8 of those zee batts 850 mah ran ever batt..and have had no issues amd I was a little nervous going full acro on it but it actually has enough power to power loop but still be cautious because it does have good power for a little guy but not so much to save it on a huge dive the outter frame does take some spills but will crack not the end of it though u can take that off and just fly the carbon portion I'm buying 3 more just for back up and it actually is a ripper u can push it to rip if u want i run zee batts in all my stuff and the 850 mah perfect size fits right in the slot at the bottom getting 5 to 8 min of flight time ive bought 8 of those batts all 8 had no issues so far after a month of flying everyday so once again great drone
1.0 out of 5 stars Better value & reliability making paper airplanes from $10.00 bills
Follow the power up sequence and the drone doesn't arm. There was an error indicated by flashing lights. The throttle was in the correct position. Need to tap it several times to set the drone to a ready to arm state. There's little difference between this product and a $35 Cherwig beyond the purchase price. The Cherwig is a better build quality.Save and buy an Avata 2. Still looking for a solid micro. Too bad this wasn't it.It really is disappointing. Documentation and instructions are VERY poor. The power on led for the head set cut out and stopped working! Mid flight the head set just cuts out. That's flying an indoor practice pattern. All is well then snow on the screen - drone on the floor.Watch out battery charge and flight time data just disappears from the display. Also be careful the charger can run hot which is concerning. When the drone worked it was pretty cool. (Limited range but solid for the price point). The flight time was as advertised. (Huge improvement over the previous offering). The video was good enough to fly by and I wasn't expecting 4k quality at this price point.Beware if you are harmed by a Chinese product you are on your own unless you are a lawyer or have a hefty fortune. The Bolo A to Z means you go through Sedgwick with an awful BBB rating to get any claim denied. The drone battery sets your house on fire good luck recovering damages.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great sub 250g quad, flies like a dream
Only issue that I really had was the the nuts in the frame would occasionally walk themselves off and become loose but is easily fixable with a few slight adjustments, otherwise a great fun powerful little drone that can hit all the gaps and opens up a whole new world
3.0 out of 5 stars Get the Pavo20 Pro
There is no real point in getting this drone, since the Pavo20 Pro bests it in pretty much every single way. It's a fine drone, but the pro is the same price.
Annoyed but happy.
(function(){ P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function'){ A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })() Annoyed I couldn’t get the Pro on here but the OG Pavo is still a great little whoop. Flying with O4 and while there aren’t many printable mounts I eventually found one.
