5.0 out of 5 stars Cracked a tooth….UPDATE
I was so tired of popcorn hulls in both pre-popped bagged popcorn and popcorn kernels popped in various applications that I decided to make a change.I did my research, or so I thought, and decided upon the “pip” corn, as it was supposed to be tender and hull-less. I had the silicone microwave bowl, the when I purchased this Heirloom Pipcorn, I also bought a stove top cranking cooker. I tried both. When I tried the silicone microwave bowl, this “pip” corn came out tough and chewy, and there were a number of hulls left over. So then I tried the stove top cranking cooker and it all popped. I was so excited and thought I had it made! I put in a bowl, sprayed with a little olive oil, shook some salt on it and sat down to eat it. Again it was tough and chewy, but not to the level of the silicone. (I even got up and checked the sell by date to see if it was old, but it was dated into November 2024). On the second small handful I bit down and cracked a back molar!!!!!Per my research this Pipcorn was supposed to be tender, easy to eat and hull-less. At $20.00 for a large jar, which I will have to throw away since not returnable; and a trip to the dentist on Monday this “tender” popcorn will cost me a whole lot more.UPDATE: Seller reached out and refunded cost of product, which I have never experienced before! I want to say I am impressed. Where this could have happened with any popcorn product, it doesn’t happen with every maker/seller. Perhaps I received a bad batch, but the seller didn’t make me take another jar, just stood behind their commitment to customer satisfaction and refunded me. When I get my dental issues sorted I will purchase again from this company! THANK YOU!
5.0 out of 5 stars Tasty Tiny Snack
It was quite the switch from the regular-sized kernels you can get at the grocery store. A tablespoon goes along way compared to using a 1/3rd cup to fill my microwavable bowl. I also have to listen closely for the popping to stop - it's very quiet. In the end, you get a lovely popcorn snack that doesn't get caught in your teeth (no/light kernel shells) and seem to have lower carbs. While you might think the price is expensive, the container will last you a long time if you don't eat large amounts daily.
1.0 out of 5 stars pass this one up
Not sure what I'm doing wrong but not having luck getting kernels to pop. and the few that I did weren't very tasty. I wouldnt buy this again nor do I recommend.
4.0 out of 5 stars very small , but good
It is good, however, you must get used to the difference in the size of the popcorn. It is very small, and does still have pieces left over from the popped corn.
5.0 out of 5 stars Nearly every kernel pops!
We especially like the 'no hulls' - popcorn is tiny, soft, and cute. LOVE IT!
3.0 out of 5 stars Very tasty but not at all worth the price
My dogs and I all love this pipcorn but it is so many times more expensive than other high end comparable popcorns. Just not worth the price, I'm sad to say.
5.0 out of 5 stars use in microwave in a silicone bowel
Pop machine will not work use in microwave in a silicone bowel works great
2.0 out of 5 stars Not a fan
It is expensive, and I just did not like the size. Seemed to be chewing on the cernal with not a lot of the popcorn to eat.
