I needed a laptop, but I don't like that Windows is soooo bulky. Since I use Google for just about everything, I thought I'd give a Chromebook a try. I love it!! Wonderful device. Very fast and simple. The only drawback is needing WiFi, but when it isn't available, my phone makes an excellent hotspot.

I had an older one that seemed to work a little better. However, I really cannot complain about this one. It has a few glitches and it's maybe a little bit slower, but overall it is a solid machine.

Instruction manual to set up is one diagram to connect power cables together and to the unit and 110 VAC. Logging into my existing account brings over all data from my previous Chromebook. Bought new Chromebook as old unit wouldn’t be updated anymore. Good savings from Prime Days sale.

UPDATE: Today is June 3, 2024 Bought this piece of junk April 3, 2024. Once again the computer has blacked out. I am typing this on my smaller , older Acer. This newer larger one is JUNK!I wasted my money and it's too late to return the peice of TRASH!I tried with the so called A to Z guarantee. I have other Acers and this one is the SLOWEST one I have ever bought.Wish I could send it back. What a waste of money!A new problem today. The cursor disappeared and made this computer useless. Unplugged it so the battery will run out and maybe that will fix the problem. I can't even shut this piece of junk down.I bought the piece of JUNK in April of this year. THREE times it just blacks out!Tried to find help but can't get any! I wish I could return this piece of junk!I am typing this message on my other old Acer that has never had this black out problem. The one I bought in April is blacked out!Today is June 21,2024. I have had this chromebook since the first week of April 2024, For the 4th time it has blacked out. Earlier this week the curser wouldn't move. All I could do was unplug it and let the battery go out. Thius is an inconvience for me. Bolo and this seller don't care!June 22, 2024 I unplugged the Chromebook and this morning plugged it back in. The screen is still black! WORSE CHROMEBOOK I HAVE EVER HAD!

This is our second Chromebook. This one is so easy to use. We were able to set it up ourselves and started quickly. It’s perfect for searching the web, email, simple docs, streaming movies and doing online bill paying. The built in virus protection is a plus. The camera is just ok but fine for family zoom meetings. It doesn’t have all the “bells and whistles” of some laptops but it is perfect for what we need.

This is my first Chromebook. So far I really like it over my work laptop. I use it for browsing and some personal business so works great for the money. The large screen is nice for my older eyes too.
Simple, low cost, serves its purpose
Bought for my elderly dad that doesn’t need the bells and whistles. The only thing I will pick on is to have better speakers.
