I really like the way this watch looks and wears. The wearing is much better than you would think for a watch like this. Accuracy is on par with other mechanical watches at this level. The strap is supple and for me very comfortable. The face is nicely detailed and “pops” when you look at it. The date day detail is difficult to read in low light and i think would be better if it were reversed; white background with black font. For the money it is excellent value.

The watch is magnificent. Build quality for this price range is as good as it gets. Easy to read. Great lume. Everything lines up perfectly. The sapphire crystal is eye catching. Red bezel offsets the black dial well. The size is perfect - wears smaller than 44mm but it does have some weight to it. I own about a dozen watches. Some costing double, even triple, of the cost of this watch. None are made better. I highly recommend this watch for watch enthusiasts.

I bought this because I used to own a similar Citizen promaster years ago and missed the style. I was drawn to the red bezel on this version and like that it has sapphire glass instead of mineral. The bezel action is excellent with crisp clicks and very little play. The combination of polished case sides with brushed top looks good. The Fugu puffer fish engraving on the back of the case is really cool.So far it keeps very accurate time on the wrist, about 2 or 3 seconds fast. Off the wrist it runs a bit faster, maybe 8 seconds per day.This version is 44mm. It wears well but my wrist is about 7.5”. I think it would look too big if my wrist was any smaller.The only thing holding me back from giving 5 stars is the crown action. The second hand jumps when I pull out the crown. That’s strange. I like for the hands to be stable when I pull out or push in the crown. Also I would prefer a 9000 series movement from Citizen at this price point.

Shipping was really fast and to my surprise the watch feels as solid as my submariner. Not the movement or winding though, but still very accurate. Meaning you aren't going to get a luxury feel in the winding of the watch per se. The watch band looks like it will be big enough to wrap around a wet suit? Doubt it will ever see a scuba dive but who knows? Dang sure stout enough for my daily use and with a sapphire crystal just gives me that extra piece of mind. Great seller and fantastic feeling watch. Lume as others have said is poor and the calendar is difficult to see albeit the same color as the dial.
3.0 out of 5 stars Nice watch but a few quality control errors.
It’s a nice looking watch and keeps decent time. About +10 seconds a day which I can live with. The thing that makes me upset for a watch at this price point is that the bezel is not properly aligned. I have Casios that are better aligned so for a Citizen I expected better quality control. Also, the rotor is loud! I can hear it clanking around when I check the time. While these things are rather minor it’s still a disappointment. I have several other Citizen watches that are pretty much perfect therefore I know they can do better.
