Its VERY sheer, but buildable. The polish it quite thin and dries fast. If I bought this specific "jelly gloss" nail polish I would probably not get it in purple, but rather a pink. since it is so sheer, the purple color doesn't come through very strongly.

And Essie never disappoints! This is a beautiful topper for a companion color and sparkles so pretty in the sunlight!lasts beautifully like Essie does….it is a good quality brand that lasts nice for about a week with normal wear and tear. I’m a professional manicurist and can speak to the quality of nail polish ! Buy this. It’s great!

The polish is cute, but I don't think I'll be purchasing another one because the color isnt for me but if it was another color I’d def get it again.PROS:- Drys fast! I set a timrer for 5 minutes, and after that it wouldn't budge. I did also poke it after around a minute and it was already hard.- Liquidy, it isn't goopy at all and application isn't too hard.- Application was very easy.- Pigment, very pigmented- If you put more than 2 layers it doesn’t chip (I’m wearing two layers and it hasn’t chipped in four days)CONS:- The picture I posted was two coats of thin application. It's not as jelly/translucent as it seemed online.- One layer is jelly. Two layers is pretty opaque. If you stare close enough you’ll realize this is jelly but by the third it just looks like a creme polish.Note: for people wanting the viral jelly gel look, your’e looking for “syrup jelly liquid polish”. You won’t really get that look with this polish if you do more than one coat.

Actually, you’re fine, I just had that line in my head on repeat because trying a yellow jelly without pictures showing me what it looked like on real people was scurry. The first picture is 3 coats of Buttercup Jelly Gloss, the second picture is 4 coats. I prefer it with 3, but was staring at the bottle pondering how it would be better with some nail art—daisies would be so cute—when I noticed the silver label saying it’s actually a part of Essie’s Nail Art Studio line lol. I was surprised how much this color brightened my free edge, I kind of love that. It’s a fast-drying formula and, true to its name, is very glossy, although it looks even better with the Gel Couture top coat. My application was a little streaky in a way that kind of reminded me of raw egg whites, but that might have been user error because this is only the second time I’ve done my own nails in probably 5 years. Be careful not to flood your cuticles because with this yellow, they’ll come out looking crusty! Essie’s flat brush offers good control, but next time I’ll make sure I have better lighting and do my thumbs last so I can use them for clean-up if needed. Overall a unique and durable polish that I would give 5 stars if it was easier to apply without streaks since a jelly is supposed to be sheer.

Absolutely love this color. It’s a transparent black, which is perfect for my softer style look. I applied 3 thin layers with their gel couture top coat. Definitely can layer more to get a deeper color or you can use it over any other color to give it that darker look. Been using this brand and collection for a while and many salons who try to remove them thought they were real gel nails. Glides easily and I love the semi-tapered brush corners to really get those curves.

I purchased the pink and it’s totally not the same color as their advertising. There’s nothing jelly like about it. It’s a faded nude, pink, very disappointed, and please be aware you cannot return this. This color has no brightness to it at all.

Bolo does not allow me to post negative reviews about my delivery instructions being ignored. The polish is good, not great but good. A bit thin, the color is true. But my delivery instructions are consistently ignored in spite of the number of times I've notified Bolo. Drivers constantly leave my packages on my front door mat in plain view of the street which can entice theft. I've asked that packages be left under my bench which is mere steps from the front door mat. I'm betting Bolo won't let this review post just as they don't let my reviews post when I point out the failure to honor my delivery instructions.

Very happy with this one; it took three coats to achieve the look here (these are my natural nails). I ended up putting a top coat on (by a different brand) and it just upped the gloss which I love. I will definitely be trying other colors. It does take a bit to dry but with my top coat it dried in under 2 minutes.
Pretty color
I got the pink one to wear over nail hardener that turns my nails yellow. This is a great color, and lasts pretty well. I just use one coat so it’s not noticeable when it fades off the ends.

Love the sheer jelly look, I used 3 coats. I also used Essie Separated Starlight special effects on top.

This pretty nail polish has a glittery, white pearl finish which looks beautiful on its own or as a top coat. The effect is simply gorgeous. It’s easy to apply and dries pretty quickly, too. I have no complaints about this nail polish!
