I should have bought this in the first place! (I knew this years ago, but forgot all about it. Stupid me!)Filter manufacturers tout how well they purify the air in your home, but that's not what an HVAC filter is for. The purpose of all Furnace/AC (HVAC) filters is to prevent your system from clogging with dust. I knew this, yet was using high-priced 3M Filtrete filters for my allergies. Wrong!You actually want nothing higher than MERV 8 rated filters. They remove common dust, hair and pollen, which can clog your system and reduce its lifespan. Using filters with higher ratings wastes money because they're over $10 each, and have to be replaced regularly. Instead, this filter will save the most in the long run, and pay for itself quickly. When it gets a bit clogged, it's easily washed clean, to use again and again.The 3M Filtrete filters I had been using, (MERV 11) were blocking so much air that condensation was forming on the cooling coils during the summer months, then draining outside. The result was a significant drop in humidity, to well below 40%, which is unhealthy. Now the humidity remains between 40-50%, which is perfect. Not only that, but because of the increased airflow, the far bedroom in my home now gets cooled (and heated) as it should. The MERV 11 filters were restricting airflow so much that not enough air reached that room to keep the temperature comfortable.DON'T BE FOOLED BY PAPER FILTER ADVERTISING! If you need your air filtered more than MERV 8 provides, it's better to use stand-alone air purifiers, with their own fans, made specifically for that purpose. They will filter your air 24/7, unlike your HVAC, which filters only when it cycles on.This filter worked so well, I decided to buy another. That way I can swap them, and not have to quickly wash and dry the dirty one.This filter will save you serious money. No longer will you need to constantly replace paper filters, but you'll save on your electric bills as well. (Also saving on your gas bills, or whatever heats your home.) I noticed a drop in my electricity usage even when it got hotter in August than in July. WOW! That means I had been wasting money away for no reason. UGH!Don't make my mistake. Either use one of these, or at least stop using paper filters with a rating higher than MERV 8.

Keeps air clean, affordable, perfect fit, easy installation, and the quality seems very durable. Love it so far. Plenty of air flow and durability is strong.

I have a Carrier furnace that uses one of those accordion type filter that is next to impossible to install by yourself. As I'm single and live alone, I wanted something a bit easier to use. This filter fits as it needs to, and I love that it is washable and reusable. I plan to place something to hold it in place, but that will be easy too.

I highly recommend this filter! I ordered a 20x20 filter for an outside air handler. It fit perfectly and it's made from durable materials. The filter has a metal mesh to protect the interior micro-filter. Unfortunately, The mesh was damaged during shipping (the filter box needed to be protected by an outer box for shipping). I emailed the company and within a few days a new filter was sent to me. Wow! The filter is well made and fits perfectly.

For a house hold with a lot of small dogs having this reusable filter keeps the air fresh and clean at all times. Best purchase ever! The air flow is still as good, there is no noise, and the size fit perfectly. No more filterssssss!!!

I'm pretty happy with it! It’s simple to clean; just rinse it off, let it dry, and you’re good to go. The electrostatic feature does seem to trap a lot of dust and allergens, so I’ve noticed the air feels fresher. It’s also eco-friendly, which is a nice bonus. Great for regular household use, it's a solid, practical option!

This air filter is so convenient. It's been doing great at keeping dust out of the air in our home, and I love being able to simply wash and wipe it down and then place it back in once it's dry.I can't think of a lot more to say about an air filter other than that I recommend a spare, or two if you're in a home with two filters, so you can have filtered air at all times and dry one pair to let sit for the next set's wash cycle.
