5.0 out of 5 stars Best I've found for my desk.
Love that it comes with an extension... but its smooth.. nothing falls. love the tilting armature to keep you mic at the same angle when you adjust it up and down.
5.0 out of 5 stars Love it
It’s very stable and well made! I have ordered boom arms in the past that were so flimsy so I was very impressed by this one. I love the option to hide the wires in the arm! Overall it saves so much space on my desk and I recommend it!
4.0 out of 5 stars It falls just short
They overlooked the smallest detail in designing this boom. The head cannot adjust to 90 degrees. I saw a YouTube reviewer point this out and I didn't think it would be enough of an issue to bother me but it turns out that it is so I'm returning it. I decided to spend a little more and get the Sensic SA-30 Microphone Boom Arm.
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing product
The media could not be loaded. This is an amazing product , well built product. I love the cable management built in to the bm66. The arms move smoothly with no squeezing which is a huge plus. Great value for the price.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fast Shipping, Next Day Arrival
Very fast shipping and best boom arm I've owned
5.0 out of 5 stars Well Designed & Attractive Mic Boom Stand
I had hoped to get a podcast microphone to display with this Fifine Mic boom stand prior to completing a review of the product, however, that has not yet happened. My apologies. The boom stand itself is finished in an attractive matte black. I like the more slender modular/squared look that the molded plastic stand covering presents versus similar products that are more tubular in appearance. Manufacturing components seem to be of a higher quality & the stand has some heft to it, weighing in at 3 lbs & 12.8 ounces, including the stand's base.Mic mounting connection points on the stand can be either 1/4", 3/8" or 5/8" (adapters included) threaded male -- see attached photo. The stand appears to rotate smoothly on the included clamp stand, which is made with heavier gauge cast metal. The product's price point is listed higher than certain other available boom stands, however, the design of this stand is somewhat more innovative, which needs to be taken into consideration. A printed user’s guide with illustrations is included with the stand, and I do recommend this product, which comes with a 1 year warranty (see photo).
4.0 out of 5 stars Limited movement on a solid mic arm
I've had mic arms like this before being more upright and meant to have the mic hanging down. This fifine arm has some pretty limited movement to it.You can only lean it up and down on one side, and the 2 joints are really only 30 degrees rotation so that prevents you from moving it and adjusting it to form your specific setup so be aware you have to have a pretty open desk setup to maneuver around. I like my other figine mic arm and I do like this style but it has limited movement compared to other ones, and that's probably mostly due to the joints having that hexagon look.Overall the quality is amazing. Great metal and plastic, and some rubber sides to it too. There's 2 inserts for your cable to go through which is easy to take on and off. It looks stylish, besides again being locked to only leaning 1 way so I have to keep it in the standing straight position the whole time. The mic screw is sturdy and holds my HEAVY blue yeti microphone.I'll probably go back to my other fifine holder which truly does have 360 movement on both joints, but I can see myself using this more especially when I do want my mic hanging down and will keep it in the same position most of the time, but for me who constantly changes my gaming / streaming setup around, it's not the most friendly to that. Solid 4 stars for the quality and features, minus 1 for my biggest issue which is the limited maneuverability.
5.0 out of 5 stars The Microphone Boom Is Adjustable and Stable
The FIFINE Adjustable Microphone Boom Arm is a very adaptable and flexible boom arm which can be used to isolate sensitive condenser microphones from vibrations and handheld introduced mechanical noise. The microphone boom rotates azimuthally about the vertical axis and can be extended upward and outward towards a person speaking into the microphone. Once the boom is moved into position, the boom is quite stable. The boom can easily be rotated azimuthally away from the speaker. The microphone boom arm has several threaded adapters to permit attachment of a microphone vibration isolation cradle. The microphone boom is part of my audio and video mixing, editing, and recording setup. The photos show my audio recording setup with a condenser microphone and a vibration isolation system which I purchased separately. The microphone boom arm is attached to a desk using a screw clamp.I would highly recommend the adjustable microphone boom arm for people who want to flexibly position a sensitive, professional condenser microphone to record audio for internet hosted videos, and other edited audio or video productions.
