    The connector are installed in the wrong way, now the red cable has to be connected to the black one. And it is easy to confused to connect to the battery and damage the battery.

    It was opposite what I was using for my solar panel charging kit I bundled with this connector so I had to remove the plastic cover and switch the two sides to match up. It turned out to be a better move because I ended up using it as the plug for connection direct to my LiFePo battery via a plug kit purchased separately. Heavy gauge wire was better choice.
