I originally bought this for my main bathroom for a garden tub. I did measure it before I selected it but think I measured it end to end on the length because it did not fit the garden tub. However, we were able to place it in a guest bathroom we have. We used to have one like this but not made as well. We would like to put a bar of soap, a washcloth, and any toiletries the guests might need in here when they need to shower or bathe. The other one we had was very cheap and would sink down with the slightest weight. This one is made very well and holds heavier items which we are pleased with. We are very happy with this, and it worked out better than we thought!
