5.0 out of 5 stars Old school in a new jacket!
"Using the wireless USB connection, this keyboard feels super responsive. And yeah, the light show is awesome! But what really matters is that this keyboard works!. The keys have a great feel and sound, with a nice tactile bounce that makes typing a breeze. Plus, my fingers don’t slip off the keys like they do on other keyboards. Feels like it’ll last forever, too. I also use it for music production and the feel gives it a thickness to every move you make, making every move feel very determined
5.0 out of 5 stars Valio la pena la espera
siempre he querido un teclado como este, ahora que lo pruebo me doy cuenta que fue la mejor eleccion, es suave, los detalles, sus multiples funciones, su conectividad, todo encaja perfectamente a lo que buscaba.
4.0 out of 5 stars Incredible!
The media could not be loaded. So many features! So much to talk about! This could be a very long review, but instead, I think that I would just list my main reactions, and then focus on the RGB displays.1. The keyboard is solid, heavy, and will probably last a very long time.2. It has the ability to connect to a single computer via Bluetooth, 2.4G RF, or a standard USB Cable.2a. Connecting to a KVM via cable works, but the BT or 2.4G connections can only be to a single computer.3. Typing is familiar, easy and best of all, satisfying. Oh, and comfortable, too.4. Really substandard User Guide - poorly laid out, very few details, confusing.5. The controlling software is called 'The Driver', which is not the same as the hardware driver that the computer uses. Also confusing...There is software associated with this keyboard, but it's not easy to find. I only knew that there was anything available because I saw it in one of the 'Related videos for this product', by Best Home Office Ideas. But there was nothing about where it could be found, or how to install it.So I searched for AULA F87 Software, then clicked on the first hit that came up, which mentions 'EPOMAKER X AULA F87 Pro Driver'. That opens a new tab with a download link for what they call the Driver. I downloaded and installed the software on two computers. After installing it, I began having a lot of trouble with my fancy-schmancy ConnectPro KVM. I'm using two separate monitors, but prefer to use only one keyboard and one mouse, so the KVM is really just a KM device. Trouble with the ConnectPro got worse & worse, so I finally replaced it with a much simpler Almos 2 port switch. With the ConnectPro, the 'Driver' software kept asking for me to connect the new keyboard. After I swapped the ConnectPro out with the Atmos, both computers recognized the keyboard immediately. So the moral of this part of the story is that this keyboard prefers to be plugged into a single computer, but will work with a KVM, if the KVM is Howdy-Doody simple.Anyway, once I got the software installed, I went through the icons for each feature. The top item is 'Device Info', which is self-explanatory. Next, a keyboard icon, which shows the current configuration and is called 'Profile 1'. All sorts of things can be changed and saved as a profile with 'Any Name you Want'. The next Icon is a light bulb, and shows all of the sixteen lighting effects. Next is (I guess) a musical note inside a circle, and the ten music rhythm RGB lighting effects. Finally, the bottom icon is the macro creation-deletion-modification area, which I have not yet played with.Going back to the Light Effects... they can be chosen with specific keys on the keyboard, but this way, they can only be selected sequentially. The software allows the light effects to be controlled and selected randomly. However, there is no indication of exactly how to work it. With trial & error, I discovered that there is a vast amount of customizing possible for each effect. But to get the desired effect to transfer to the physical keyboard, the little SAVE icon has to be clicked. Clicking the SAVE icon causes the selected light show to display on the keyboard. The most interesting feature is the Effect (or Efeect, as it's called in the software). This is where the keyboard lights flicker and flash in different patterns which are sync'ed to the system sounds. Music and even speech - any sound at all - is reflected by the lights on the keyboard. This feature is amazing, and can be turned ON or OFF with a software toggle. When a chosen Light Effect is SAVEd, the "cool music rhythm lighting effects" are toggled OFF, and the Light Effect is displayed. When the Efeect toggle is turned OFF, the last selected Light Effect comes on (after a short pause). I know this is kind of confusing, so please take a look at my video. It shows just a small sample of the MANY options and features available.I like almost everything about this keyboard. My review reluctantly gives this item four stars, mainly because of the totally inadequate User Guide.
3.0 out of 5 stars Too confusing, not the same as other F87 Pro
This is listed as an F87 Pro, but this has a regular solid black outer case whereas other F87 Pros have a transparent black outer shell where you can see the light shining through. Other F87 Pros have side light bars that do not wrap around the front corner of the keyboard, the light bar on this keyboard I received has the regular F87 style light where it wraps around to the front. The sticker with product information on the back just refers to this keyboard as "F87", other Pros say "Pro" on the back. This seems like just a black F87 with the same keycaps, but the product page calls it a Pro. I see that the product renders on the page do show the solid black case and the different side lighting, the problem is mockups often literally are 3D renders and do not fully represent the real product, as long as the item page was still named "F87 Pro" I was expecting the transparent case and other Pro features. There IS a video on this item page, uploaded by Aula Mall US, that should be representing this item, and the video shows the transparent style F87 Pro.This also has the same issue as the previous F87 Pro I tried, where the side lights do not match when set to certain colors. There is something with the left side of the keyboard where the color looks wrong, "white" displays as blue, "yellow" displays as green, "pink" displays as purple, etc. This has ruined my Prime Day experience, I initially had a different F87 Pro with different switches but I decided to get this one instead when the price dropped lower and I thought the Reaper switches would be better. But I wanted the transparent case and other Pro features. Now the Prime Day prices are gone and I am stuck.Just reviewing it as a keyboard itself, it's pretty great minus the light color issue. The Reaper switches are nice and they make the letters brighter because they have the little LED diffuser/lens that helps carry more light through.Maybe the difference is Aula version versus "Aula x Epomaker", but regardless the item pages are not clear enough. There are three or four different versions of this for sale based on the switches. I was not expecting this one to be different in terms of the outer case etc.
