4.0 out of 5 stars TOYFID Minimalist Wallet for Men
This wallet has RFID blocking capability, so it will block RFID signals emitting from your cards and that information can't be electronically stolen. This is minimalist and ideal for situations when a thick, bulky wallet doesn't really work. For example, if you're going to the swimming pool at a hotel or resort, but want the ability to bring your credit and debit cards to make purchases at the pool bar or store, this would be a good solution.
5.0 out of 5 stars I Like It So Much I'm Using It!
I prefer minimalist wallets. They are so much more comfortable. The old days of having a tennis ball sized lump in your back pocket are gone, and thank goodness for that! When you think about it, there really isn't a need to carry 39 cards and whatnot in your wallet. You need your driver's license, a couple of credit cards, medical insurance, and some cash for emergencies.I'm not fully sold on the urban myth of the nefarious data thieves in check-out lines scanning your cards, but it is nice to know the body of the wallet is RF blocking, protecting you from data/account theft. The leather touches on this wallet are attractive and convenient, and complement the overall appearance. The case feels solid, and safe. I can put several cards in the slot, turn it upside down, and nothing falls out, even when I shake it. That is very important … the older I get, the further away the floor is, and no one likes getting down to floor level to pick up one’s wallet’s contents. One of the gripes that I have had regarding “minimalist” wallets is that the cards come out as a block … several cards all together, making you have to remove all the cards to sort out the one you want to use. The pop-up button feature on this wallet solves that problem … it pushes up the cards at an angle separating all the cards by height - you can pull one out of the “fan” easily. Pick a card, any card! (Queen of Hearts, right?)I like this wallet. I use it daily, and I expect a long useful life. I would also consider giving this wallet as a gift - it comes in an attractive black gift box.I recommend it without reservation.
4.0 out of 5 stars Easy for retrieving cards
This wallet is very attractive and has a luxurious feel. It's easy to load the cards and they indeed do pop right up with the handy lever on the side. You can also place a couple cards in the slots provided on the side. These side slots are such a tight fit I find it difficult to get the cards back out.Although the leather on the outside is soft it is important to note that the inner workings are made of a hard material. So if you are a wallet sitter you may not like this one.
3.0 out of 5 stars Good starter wallet
If you're on the fence about trying a slim or minimalist wallet, this would be a good entry level choice. Most I've seen were super pricey, and for me, this is good enough to give it a try. The leather is decent, the aluminum internal bit is decent, too, but they just feel put together with a bit of glue that will lively separate eventually. Some of the eternal pockets/slots got too much glue, and we're difficult to use initially. I'm not sure if the entire case is RFID, but it comes with an RFUD blocker card, which leads me to feel the card is doing all the work on that front. It looks exactly as pictured. I like that the cards come out in an array of heights, but I'm not feeling like the mechanism that ejects them will last with tons of use. Like I said, good as a tester wallet.
1.0 out of 5 stars Ripped before it ever even made it to my pocket
Here's a review of two parts:The pop up card holder:This part is awesome. It holds the cards snugly, and easily pops them up when you push the side lever. The housing is a coated aluminum and seems very sturdy. This part I like. The leather and external pockets:This is the problem. The leather is very glossy and sticky, so the pockets felt almost glued shut. I had a hard time removing the provided RFID card, and I used that to try to loosen up the other pockets before I damaged my real cards. The leather sticks to the cards so much that when I tried to pull the card out, it tore the seam on the leather. (And I STILL had to fight harder to get the card out!) It wasn't overloaded either, because that was the only card in there at the time.Maybe the outside pockets are fine for a card you never really need to pull out, but this will not become a daily wallet for me. I may actually pull off the leather outer part since the inner pop up card holder seems very nicely built, but I really had wanted to use the outer pockets as well.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great wallet
I had another wallet by this brand and loved it, but I wanted something without a money clip and this one fit the bill perfectly as it has a slip in pocket for bills instead of a clip.I love the quality of this brand of wallets and the pop up feature for cards is the best. I never thought I'd be able to carry so much in such a tiny wallet.
4.0 out of 5 stars It is a very minimal of minimalist wallets, but has what you need
I've been using the minimalist wallet for a few weeks now, and I'm thrilled with it! Its slim design fitsperfectly in my pocket, so I don't have to deal with any annoying bulk. Despite its small size, it holds all myessentials-cards, ID, and a bit of cash-without any problem. The quality of the materials feels top-notch,and I can tell it's going to last a long time. It's perfect for anyone who wants to keep things simple andefficient. I highly recommend it!
4.0 out of 5 stars Slim and Compact
Unlike any other wallet I've owned, this wallet doesn't "open up." Instead, you can drop in six credit cards in the metal box that keeps them safely stored. The credit cards do not slide out. You just need to push on a side lever to have them pop up, and then you can select the card you want. There are also two slots for credit cards in the front; however, I had a hard time pushing them in. I could get one in, but the second card was starting to bend as I tried to force it in. There's also another pocket on the other side in which I could easily fit two cards. So, nine cards fit rather easily in this wallet. Of course, you could use the back side for folded cash instead. The best features of this wallet are its slim design and RFID blocking protection. It would make a great gift.
