I bought this for my new invisalign journey 12 weeks ago, and it has not dissapointed me! Every night, I rinse my aligners and throw them in here with half a denture cleaning tab. They come out shiny and clean. No need to scrub. Cant say how well they work w/o the tabs. It's super easy to use.

The media could not be loaded. I wanted to use this for my metal retainer. Although I scrub it with a toothbrush, it has some calcium deposits that won’t scrub off. The before picture is when I put it in the machine with vinegar. I turned it on and left for 15 minutes. By the time I got back, this is what it looked like! I lightly brushed it with my toothbrush after to make sure it didn’t taste like vinegar, but all the deposits were gone.One thing to note: by the time I came back for it in 15 minutes, the machine was off. I’m not sure how long it was running, but it did the job before shutting off!

I had acquired a different brand a few years ago and although it worked very well it stopped working after only six months (using it one a day). I tried searching for replacement where there were no negative reviews for failing to work in a short period of time and wasn't able to find any so I gave up. I decided recently to search again, looking up the best of via google and this one was listed and tested and was the only one where there were no failure to work, so I ordered this model.The currently price made it very competitive with similar products. I like that the lid is attached to a holder for the retainer so that when you lift up the lid you can easily place as well as remove my teeth guard without having to put my hand into the liquid. Although it runs twice a long as the previous ultra sonic cleaner, it did not heat up nearly as much and while running it was twice as quite. I have been immersing my guard in 12 % hydrogen peroxide and one Efferdent Retainer Cleaning Tablet and it did an excellent job cleaning away almost all the residue that had accrued over the past several years.

I have tried a couple of these ultrasonic machines and this one is definitely my favorite even though it lacks the UV feature that most have it gets my Invisalign trays so much cleaner. I’ve occasionally been unable to brush before putting my trays back in and the old smile direct one I had took multiple cycles to clean this one is one and done. It also does not take up that much space on the precious bathroom counter space I am allowed from my wife.

I do think it cleaned my orthotic some, but definitely not crystal clean. I did try it with dental cleaner as well.

My retainer still looks cloudy and kind of gross after three cycles in this device with a Retainer Brite tablet; from all the glowing reviews of this product I was hoping it would come out just like new. It's possible that my retainer is just too old and scratched to be restored to a just like new appearance even with a very thorough cleaning. Oh well.
