I am very pleased with this mini computer. It's very quiet. When pushing it, the fan will ramp up occasionally but is still very quiet and runs very cool and stable. I am not using it for gaming so it's not pushed to hard for what I do. I love the size and speed of this thing. Cold boot start time to windows open and ready is about 21 seconds. It does not come with MS office as advertised. It has a preinstalled trial version for one month. I do a lot of scanning documents. The processing time of the .pdf files is much faster that my desktop computer. It comes with 32Gb of RAM. I will be replacing this with 64Gb in the near future, but don't really expect it to run any better than it already does.

I bought this to use as a Home Theater PC (HTPC). I've tried a few android boxes from the major streaming companies. The all suffer from a relentless push towards ever more advertising, software that only gets worse over time, increasing costs, and decreasing content and features. All that I really want is a way to run Plex (and perhaps Kodi in the future) on a computer that is connected to my theater monitor. And if you really need to the major streaming companies can be accessed from a browser as well.First off I needed a PC that was quiet. This unit has a fan that will run if the system is pushed hard with gaming or something similar, but when listening to music or watching TV it is completely silent. There was no setup beyond the usual Windows setup. I needed it to be powerful enough to show video without glitches and it is perfectly capable of this. Beyond this there is not much more to say because it does exactly what I need it to with no downsides.A few tips to set up a HTPC that I found through trial and error:1) It is possible to configure Windows 11 to log in automatically and I highly recommend it. It's a pain to grab a keyboard every time you turn the system on. I would also recommend creating a unique MS account for the HTPC and not keeping any sensitive information on it otherwise you are creating a major security risk.2) Configure Plex to start automatically. You can use the Plex native app, but we prefer the browser version so I configured Firefox to start automatically with the Plex tab open.3) I keep both a Logitech M510 wireless mouse handy and a Rii mini I25. The traditional mouse is easiest for navigating applications. The Rii air mouse is very convenient for play/pause and adjusting volume like a normal TV remote. This is a near necessity because both the Windows and Plex volume controls are close to impossible to see from 10ft away. I also keep a Logitech wireless keyboard handy for when I need to do more computer type activities. (The Rii can also do this, but there is only so much thumb-typing I want to do.)4) The Windows Accessibility options are useful for increasing font and cursor sizes. Using a monitor from across a room is a very different experience from sitting in front of a computer.If you are looking for a computer to serve as an HTPC I don't think you can do better.

Only minor points to this device are that it has only the one m.2 / nvme slot, which really is fine, considering how many usb C ports are on the back of it (2 usb c ports, and 4x normal USB ports), and a slight nuisance in that it can't boot to the SD card slot that's provided. Not every machine that has one can... but it would have been great if it could.I use this as my main pc and i play some games on it too.

Fast, quiet and everything I hoped for BUT, contrary to the title, Office is NOT included. Major value fail! Geekom reached out and offered compensation so I've raised my rating.

dissapointed. specifically bought this mini pc for gaming, only to find my laptop has better specs. if you're not using this for heavy gaming, it's an alright pc. but if you want something that can play heavy graphic games, this ain't it. i'm still keeping it though, because besides the graphics it's an okay pc that can be used for other stuff.

Played a magic the gathering (a card game) for 40 minutes and the thing shut its self off. Spend the little bit extra and get a laptop or desktop.

Durch einen Freund wurde ich auf die MiniPCs von Geekom aufmerksam, die klein, leistungsstark und auch noch gut im Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sein sollen. Da ich mir einen MiniPC für das Wohnzimmer zulegen möchte, der später mit einem Beamer verbunden werden soll, habe ich mich für das Modell IT8 mit der Ausstattung I5-Chip, 16 GB RAM und 512 GB M.2-SSD-Speicher entschieden. Ich möchte meinen in die Jahre gekommenen Fernseher bald durch einen Beamer ersetzen und alles über das Netz mache, da ich kein „normales“ TV schaue und dadurch auch keine Notwendigkeit mehr sehe, einen neuen SmartTV anzuschaffen.Ich finde es gut, dass bei dem MiniPC Windows 11 Pro vorinstalliert ist und man somit auf dem neuesten Stand, was die Software betrifft, ist. Der MiniPC sieht auch gut aus im Wohnzimmer und fällt fast gar nicht aus, da er wie die anderen Boxen (AppleTV etc.) zu betrachten ist.Der IT8 ist kompakt gebaut, besteht auch Metall und Kunststoff und ist der Verarbeitung gelungen. Hierbei lässt er keine Wünsche offen. Bei der Größe sind genug Anschlüsse vorhanden: SD-Kartenslot, Kensington Sercurity Lock, mehrere USB-C und USB-A-Anschlüsse, Klinkenanschluss, LAN, Mini DisplayPort (4K fähig) und HDMI. Nach der Beschreibung ist es möglich bis zu vier Monitore an dem MiniPC anzuschließen. Jedenfalls ergeben viele die vielen Anschlüsse diverse Möglichkeiten Peripheriegeräte anzuschließen, so dass jeder Anwender auf seine Kosten kommt, je nachdem, was das Hauptaugenmerk ist.Im Inneren werkelt ein Intel-Chip i5 der 8. Generation, der alle Wünsche für normale (Office-)Anwendungen, außerhalb des Gamings, erfüllt. Für mich soll er als Media Server dienen, um zu Streamen, Musik zu hören, (Musik-)Videos abzuspielen und wie Eingangs schon erwähnt, mit einem Beamer verbunden zu werden, um Filme an der Wand zu betrachten.WiFi 6 und Bluetooth 5.2 sind an Bord und mein Mobiltelefon konnte ich problemlos über Bluetooth verbinden und über die App von Youtube konnte ich beide Geräte miteinander verbinden und vom Mobiltelefon steuern.Der Lieferumfang sind ein HDMI-Kabel, das Stromgerät, eine Befestigungsplatte, wenn man den MiniPC irgendwo anbringen möchte und Schrauben.Alle Programme von Office laufen bisher flüssig und das Internetsurfen ist flüssig und schnell, sogar mit mehreren geöffneten Tabs. Windows 11 Pro ist schon vorinstalliert und das Starten und erstmalige Einrichten ging in wenigen Minuten von statten. Zwar besitze ich den MiniPC erst seit kurzer Zeit, doch bin ich jetzt schon begeistert und kann es kaum erwarten einen Beamer und eine Soundbar zu kaufen, um das volle Vergnügen auskosten zu können.Es gibt sehr gute Möglichkeiten dem MiniPC ein Upgrade zu verpassen. Der Arbeitsspeicher ist mit 16 GB vollkommen ausreichend, doch man kann ihn auf bis zu 64 GB (DDR4) erweitern. Die M.2 SSD mit 512 GB um dem Formfaktor 2280 ist bis auf 2 TB erweiterbar. Dazu, wenn einem dies zu wenig erscheint, kann noch in einem 2,5-Zoll-Schacht eine weitere SSD oder HDD mit SATA- oder PCI-Anschluss hinzufügen. Nach Herstellerangabe von Geekom mit bis zu 2 TB. Dadurch hätte man 4 TB Speicher und dies sollte mehr als ausreichend sein. Wenn einem das immer noch nicht genug ist, gibt es noch die Möglichkeiten über die zahlreichen externen Anschlüsse mehr Speicher an den MiniPC zu bringen. Der MiniPC lässt sich an der Unterseite aufschrauben und hierüber die internen Erweiterungen einbauen.Die vorab verbauten Speicher (RAM und SSD) sind Markenprodukte, was mich positiv überrascht und ein Zeichen davon sind, dass jemand bei der Entwicklung und Ausstattung mitgedacht hatte.Zusammenfassend kann ich sagen, dass ich ein Fan von dem MiniPC IT8 und von Geekom geworden bin. Ich freue mich auf die weitere Arbeit mit dem MiniPC und kann die Firma Geekom dafür loben, mehrere Versionen auf den Markt gebracht zu haben, um jeden Bereich in den Bedürfnissen der Anwender bedienen zu können. Der MiniPC IT8 reicht für mich und meine Anforderungen (Größe, mittlere Performance, gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis) vollkommen aus. Dazu finde ich die (leichte) Erweiterbarkeit gut und ich freue mich schon darauf, mit dem MiniPC mein Wohnzimmer als Media Server aufzuwerten.

La société taïwanaise Geekcom propose un mini PC très qualitatif. Dès la réception de la boite, on observe la qualité et le soin des matériaux choisi rien que pour l’emballage ! A l’intérieur, on retrouve le mini PC très bien protégé dans une mousse dense, une enveloppe glacée avec une belle sérigraphie miroir contenant un carton de remerciement, un mode d’emploi sur papier glacé, une plaque d’acier noir de fixation VESA et sa visserie pour fixer le PC directement au dos du moniteur (la plupart des moniteurs pas trop vieux propose cette possibilité à leur verso, cf. photo de mon moniteur Philips), un adaptateur secteur, un câble HDMI. Seul manque à l’appel un adaptateur micro DisplayPort vers HDMI pourtant prévu dans la description de la fiche Bolo. J’ai pris directement contact avec Geekcom, qui m’ont répondu très rapidement mais pour m’informer qu’il ne fournissait plus cet équipement. Il est vrai que sur l’image de la fiche Bolo il est indiqué que le câble HDMI et l’adaptateur sont livrés en cadeau, mais il aurait été de bon aloi de mettre à jour l’annonce. Et au mieux j’aurais préféré recevoir l’adaptateur moins commun que le câble HDMI que nous avons a peu près tous chez nous traînant dans un carton. Bref, cette absence a pour conséquence actuelle de ne pas pouvoir utiliser mes 2 moniteurs avec ce mini PC, sachant que les sorties vidéos sont 1 prise HDMI et donc 1 prise micro DP. Pour cela, il faut donc que je me procure un câble compatible.Le Mini Air 11 version N5105 est équipé de la puce Intel N5095 à quatre cœurs de 11e génération, d’un SSD M.2 2280 de 256 Go que l’on remplacer par un SSD allant jusqu’à 1 To, d’une barrette de 8 Go de RAM DDR4 avec un second slot (très facile d’extraction/insertion) permettant de pousser jusqu’à 32 Go, d’une puce graphique Intel UHD 605 qui prend en charge les écrans 4K à 60 Hz, le Bluetooth v4.2, le wifi v.5, une carte ethernet RJ45 en Mbps, et enfin d’un ventilateur hypersiliencieux.En termes de ports, nous retrouvons donc le port micro DP, 1 port HDMI (pas d’information quant à la version supportée), 1 port USB C (1ère génération / sans thunderbolt), 2 ports USB 3.2 (1ère génération), 1 port USB C (2ème génération / sans thunderbolt), 1 port USB 3.2 (2ème génération), 1 port RJ45, 1 port carte SD, 1 port de sécurité Kensington, 1 connecteur rond d’alimentation, 1 prise jack pour casque ou microphone et enfin un bouton d’alimentation à led servant d’indicateurs de travail.Le PC est livré avec Windows 11 Pro pré-installé et activé. Attention à la 1ère mise en route les mises à jour sont comme d’habitude chez cet OS très très très (trop) longs et nombreux (j’utilise au quotidien les distributions Linux mais j’ai besoin de W$ pour certaines applications professionnelles. A savoir ce mini PC est certifié compatible avec le Pingouin ;) A voir si je le passerai comme d’habitude avec mes autres PC en dual boot ou pas).N’oubliez pas de récupérer et de sauvegarder le numéro de licence de votre Windows (au cas où vous ayez un problème). Pour cela vous pouvez lancer le « PowerShell » en mode Administrateur et taper la commande suivante :powershell "(Get-WmiObject -query ‘select * from SoftwareLicensingService’).OA3xOriginalProductKey"Les principaux logiciels fournis sont Office 365 de base et Minecraft Education et autres joyeusetés habituelles de Microsoft que je me suis empressé de désinstaller.Le PC est très réactif même avec seulement 8 Go de RAM (je travaille habituellement avec 32 Go sur mes autres PC portables). Je n’ai pas fait de test en 4K n’ayant pas de moniteur à cette résolution, mais j’ai visionné la TV en direct avec le logiciel Captivity et je n’ai rencontré aucune difficulté en 2K.Le PC ne fait pas de bruit et lorsque le ventilateur s’enclenche il est à peine audible.C’est un très bon mini PC pour de la bureautique ou du multimédia de base. Pour du montage vidéo ou des jeux récents, il sera clairement à la peine ou incapable d’y pourvoir. Pour cela il vaut mieux opter pour la version Mini IT 11 de chez Geekcom mais avec une inflation du budget (x3).Bref, pour 209 € et l’usage décrit c’est un très bon produit de qualité. J’en suis très satisfait et je recommande donc.
