I use these hooks to hang "light weight" cooking utensils on the side of my refrigerator. Things like plastic measuring cups, measuring spoons, spatulas, light aluminum kitchen tools, etc. They are NOT designed for anything heavy. They hooks will just slide down. If you need a magnetic hook to hold a metal product or anything with a little weight other than a plastic or silicone product, these are not the hooks for you.

I bought these for my front door to hold hoodies and my purse. First, the hooks are really small. They come in pieces and have to be put together. They don't hold anything. They're supposed to hold up to 27 pounds, but the 6 pound purse I hung on it immediately slid to the floor. They wouldn't even hold a hoodie. Absolutely returned for a refund.

Update: Seller reached out and offered to refund the faulty product. I appreciate that. Still only 4 stars because they didn’t work as advertised. The magnets slide down and didn’t even hold 5 pounds.

I got the 130 lb version of these hooks. I noticed some complaints about the strength of the magnet but remember - the strength is determined based on the magnet's ability to resist pull directly up/down. In other words, if you're using these on the side of a tool chest (or similar) then no, you can't hang a 130 pound object on the hook. The hooks are also small, but I felt that was fairly represented in the product images. I do like the fact that the hooks are threaded and screw into the magnet base; makes me much less concerned about the hook shearing off the base under weight. All in all a good product for a fair price.

These magnetically-supported hooks may provide a bond to thick iron of 27 pounds of tensile strength. The thing is, that's not really what I was buying them for. They look like hooks, so I was intent on using them as hooks. That means being able to have them protrude sideways (horizontally) from, e.g., MY REFRIGERATOR. If the refrigerator magnets we had in gradeschool could stick our finger-paintings to the refrigerator door, why can't these? OK; don't break my arm: I'll tell you. BECAUSE THEY SLIDE DOWN THE DOOR OF THE REFRIGERATOR. Perhaps they were meant only to be used when they are hanging DOWN from some anchoring ceiling, or something. But when I try to use them to hang stuff from a metal wall, they won't hold much more than an oven mitt. So what's the point? They claim they are for use in rich people's yachts to hold their expensive goblets or something in hurricanes. Maybe they will work for that -- or maybe the yachties just don't know how well regular (and regularly priced) refrigerator magnets work. These magnetic hooks aren't anything special, unless you let them snap onto the center of a steel I-beam. But even there, they won't hold a saw from sliding to the floor. (Ask me how I know...)But if you're living in a house with a solid iron or steel ceiling, these just might be the ticket for you! You might be able to hang your 26-pound cat from one of them, and not have him (her?) fall to the floor before the deed was done. Otherwise, I'm finding it difficult to find what these "vertical-install only" hooks are good for. I can't even hang Christmas lights from the eaves of my house with them, because I don't live in a metal house! (Yet...)

The product has a great magnet and does the trick. I attached these to my garage door on our house to hang Halloween decorations. Although it was windy, these held up great! I intend to use them for other events in the future. We have a magnetic whiteboard by our landing, and I store our keys on it. I have gotten into the habit of hanging our keys on them.

Ganci davvero robusti e calamite potentissime! Si attaccano con estrema facilità a travi, pareti, tubi di metallo e per staccarli serve una discreta forza e una leva, altrimenti rimangono al loro posto.La tenuta in peso che viene dichiarata mi sembra reale e forse addirittura inferiore alle prestazioni effettive. Possono essere utilissimi per appendere una serie di cose nel box o in cantina, ottenendo un maggiore ordine.Come da titolo della recensione però, attenti a non finire con la pelle delle dita fra la calamita e la superficie, altrimenti è un bel problema (e dolore). Altro accorgimento è quello di evitare di lasciarli troppo vicini ad apparecchiature elettroniche quando non usati.Ottimo prodotto, consigliato!
