I've never owned an electric kettle before, and honestly didn't know if it was going to be any better than my old stovetop kettle, but I decided to give it a try. It's so much better!I know it's just a kettle, but it almost feels like it's from the future, with the screen that is integrated right into the side and disappears completely when it's off. It's really cool looking in person.It also heats fast, much faster than I can heat water over the stove, so that's a plus.But my favorite thing is that it's simple to get the water to exactly the temperature that you're going for. Very helpful for making tea.The only (slight) drawback is the minimum quantity of water, which I think is 0.5 liters. It comes out to about 2 mugs full. I'd like to be able to make a single cup's worth, but that's a small complaint since it heats up so quickly.

I like this electric water kettle with temperature presets. It’s sleek looking and made well. I like how fast it heats up and the large capacity. It is definitely easy to use and works as described with one exception. Short of breaking my lid off it won’t go past the one setting (anti-scald). It is supposed to be able to open fully but I have tried and I don’t want to break it. Also my lid is fixed to the handle and can’t be taken off. I don’t know if this change occurred after the instructions were written but in my model the lid is fixed and non-removable which I really don’t love. Otherwise it is well made, durable and looks nice. I like that it has borosilicate glass and is not a metal interior. When it is off the digital display disappears so it looks nice when not in use. I think it is a decent value for the money but I probably would not buy again or give as a gift.

This Veken electric kettle does a superb job of boiling water really fast. It's definitely much faster than trying to bring a kettle to boil on the stove, that's for sure. The lid pops up easily to fill and can even open a but more if you want to clean it out. I guess how often you need to clean it would depends on the hardness of your water. The fact that it's so easy to clean is a real plus around here. Its sleek modern design looks good in any kitchen. The fact that you can really just plug it in anywhere makes it super convenient to keep at a desk or workstation for a quick spot of tea or cup of ramen. Boils fast and a good quantity of water as well. Very nice!!

This kettle works great, looks modern, and I like how it has unique features like keeping water warm or getting water to very specific temperature that you want. On the inside of the kettle you can see in the inner wall there are lines which help you see how can see min. line and how much water you have filled up.While depending on style of kitchen the black around kettle can match very well, maybe the only thing I would like to see different about this kettle is for the design to look a little less dark overall- like maybe just the part where you see the buttons. But in terms of functionality, works great, and you can see the temperature of the water rising as it's boiling which is a neat feature. Would recommend if you like the style.

We purchased a Veken tea kettle a year ago, that still looks and works great. It is a basic kettle, where the only control is a switch that is depressed to boil water. When Veken came out with this more capable model, we decided to upgrade.The new kettle includes several new features that make using it more convenient. For starters the body of the kettle is glass, which makes it easier to see the fill level and to watch progress as the water boils. Stainless steel kettles eventually corrode, glass requires less upkeep.The feature we have found most useful is the ability to choose your desired water temperature. Kettles that always bring water to a full boil require waiting for the temperature to lower before drinking. Testing the temperature by drinking a sip isn't without danger of a scalded mouth, but waiting too long results in an unsatisfying lukewarm beverage. This kettle allows you to set the water temperature so it is perfect for your chosen drink. The large digital temperature display makes this easy to repeat and dial in. The option to keep the water at a set temperature works great for those days when one cup isn't enough.

I checked my Bolo history, and it was just over a year ago (in July 2023) was when I purchased my last kettle. It was an "Onlicuf" brand, with somewhat more basic electronic controls, but similar in capacity. For some reason, it started acting up a couple of weeks ago and finally stopped working altogether this week. Hoping for better luck and crossing my fingers, I've ordered this Veken model.The Veken kettle has a large capacity of 1.7 liters, which seems to be the max available across the marketplace. It has a hefty build. One side has a temperature gauge and several touch controls for choosing from different tea presets, but they are fully hidden when the kettle is not plugged in. The top opening is large and you can pull the lid backwards manually (after opening) to allow for more space to get in and clean inside the container. The time it takes for the water to boil is quite uniform but not super fast -- you'll wait for up to 2 minutes for a full kettle.The body is built well and made from borosilicate glass that's heat-resistant. It feels slightly heavy at hand, but the handle is also strong and helps you keep everything balanced. The bottom piece that has the power cable and the plug is made from plastic and feels very cheap. It doesn't have a closed flat bottom either and feels very flimsy. I wish this part was also made a bit heavier and provided some stability on its own.So far, the kettle is working as expected. My wife doesn't like its black color but agrees that this one is an improvement over the last kettle we had. I'm hoping that its longevity will be better as well. Recommended.
