I have never used a baking mat, but was intrigued by the idea that this had all the measurements on it. When I am rolling out pizza dough for my pizza oven, I like to keep it at 12 inches, and this is the way that I can do that perfectly. It is extremely pliable and soft. I love that the bottom is nonslip. It does not move across the countertop. It almost feels tacky, but not sticky.It is heat resistant up to 400+ degrees. I suppose that means you can bake with it, but I don’t have the guts to do that. I don’t see a reason to do that. It will withstand the heat of a dishwasher, however. It is extremely easy to clean up. It is also very durable. I’ve used a pizza cutter on a multiple times and it didn’t leave a mark.It’s extremely easy to roll out your dough on this. It also has a raised edge so food doesn’t spill off the edge as easily.this is extremely well priced and a great kitchen tool. Excellent value.

This silicone baking mat is big enough at 24'' x 16'' as a dough rolling mat on counter top. Love it as I don't need to clean out my whole counter top for the job. This silicone mat is dishwasher safe for easy cleaning. It is non-stick & anti-slip for any surface. The measurements on it is handy to use. No more ruler and wax paper template needed. It works just as described. It can be rolled up for storage. I wish I could have it long time ago.

I have soap stone countertops that I rub in a vegetable based oil treatment on to keep them looking nice. So I don't want to shape dough directly on the countertop, for fear of potentially absorbing that oil. This is exactly what I need now that I'm learning to bake (gluten-free) breads from scratch. I like that it has a raised lip so that I can have a better chance of getting it to the sink without spilling flour along the way. The measurements are helpful and become much easier to see on the green version when you spread out a little flour on it. Like everything silicone, it's floppy and awkward in the sink when you're washing it by hand, but for the convenience it provides I don't mind. It's a bit large for the dishwasher, so I may not fuss with that, but I like that I have the option. For drying, it's about the same size as many of my towels, so I just spread it out on the counter on top of one of those towels. For storage, I can lay it flat or roll it up. It recovers its shape nicely. The drawer under my double oven does just fine accommodating all my big, flat, floppy silicone things (like shelf liners for the dehydrator). But I think you could easily roll or gently fold it into a magazine rack in your kitchen as well.As for shaping dough on it, it was perfectly non-stick. I had no troubles at all. This is a nice addition to my kitchen!

This silicone baking mat is a lifesaver and a counter-saver. I'm very particular about using counter tops to roll out pastry or kneading doughs. Even after washing the countertop down, I still hesitate to use it and have marble slabs and baking mats for that purpose. This mat is large and is easy to care for. I handwash the mat and lay it flat to dry. The hole in the corner is great for hanging it up to dry or for storage. However, the measurement is printed upside down on one side. It's a minor flaw, but it is an inconvenience worthy of subtracting a star. Word of caution: refrain from using bench scrapers or sharp tools on the mat.

Until now, my baking mats have been plastic which become harder over time. Become almost impossible to keep unrolled. This solves all those problems. Has great measurement markings and guides. Is easy to store and unroll. And, unlike plastic is non-sticking. If you bake a lot, get this and get rid of the plastic. It made to last for years. Also, silicone materials usually can handle high temperatures.

I ordered this baking mat as a replacement for my previous one which I’d accidentally sliced a hole into with a knife. This one is far more durable than my original one. This mat in particular has several helpful bits incorporated into the mat itself aside from the large silicone surface itself. It’s hard to tell from the stock photos, on one side there are embossed scorings/measurements. The price is similar/slightly less than other options I’d been considering before I chose this one (most of which were half the size)! The cost at the time of writing this review is $14 for the Sage XL mat. The size does make it kinda clumsy for me to clean, but as long as I leave it for last and hang it to dry, it’s very simple because of the non-stick surface. Overall, I’d highly recommend!

My old mat was the laminated plastic kind. It came rolled up in a box when I bought it 7 or 8 years ago. It has never flattened out so I have to tape it down to the countertop when I use it & then it still comes undone & rolls up & just makes a huge mess.This one lays flat from the moment it comes out of the box. It has a nice lip the whole way around it to keep flour & liquids from spilling. It's a very large mat (16" x 24") so it is big enough to hold the ingredients for very large loaves. It also has measurements that are in both inches & centimeters. The measurement markings are all very easy to read.It is non-slip & temperature resistant -40°F to 446°F so I could bake cookies & bread on it but I probably will not do that.It's very easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher. It has 2 holes that it can be hung by to dry as well.I love the sage green color of this mat. It looks nice & fresh!

Convenient measurements all around
This dough rolling mat works like a charm. It has replaced several another thinner mats that I was using. With it being silicone, it does not move around or slide on the countertop or table when I am rolling out pizza or pie dough.The mat is a generous size and large enough for most dough projects. It is unique in that it has a raised lip around it which will contain liquid spills, runny eggs but also some (but not all) flour poufs. The mat is super simple to wash and there are handy holes for hanging it to dry or to store. You can also roll it up to store it is space is an issue.One of the features that I like and appreciate the most is that there are so many measuring references (in imperial and metric) on the mat. There is a large circular measure in the centre which goes from 5” to 12” (not including 11” for some odd reason). It has the metric measurements at the top. There is a small circle on the bottom, left-hand side with 2”, 2-1/2” and 3” measure with metric as well.There are also ruler measurements along all four sides. All this measurement information is quite handy so I don’t need to pull out rulers or tape measures while I am rolling out dough or cutting cakes to make forms. This saves me a lot of time and effort.It is a lovely sky blue colour but for some reason, my camera decided not to show this colour accurately except in one photo.When first purchased in June it cost $23.99 which was reasonable but the price has dropped and in July 2024 it was a very reasonable $19.99. This mat will get used again and again and will keep its shape. Well worth the price in my opinion.
Sticky back adheres to counter but also attract pet hair etc
Out of the box, it had a smell to it. It needs to be washed and aired out. It is a nice sized mat for rolling out dough. I had previously been using silicone baking sheets so it is nice to have something made specifically for rolling dough. The big difference with this mat beside being larger is that it really adheres to the counter so it stays put. The back feels sticky and seems to attract pet hair in my house. Stuff just seems to stick to it which makes keeping it clean an issue. It has a lip around the edge. It has measurements on it but so far I haven't had the need for them. You can easily roll it up for storage or you can hang it but the two holes in it.

If you're notoriously bad at estimating sizes, this is the baking mat for you. It has inches and centimeters along the edges, and in the middle, provides a guy for circles of different sizes. That feature, in particular, makes this mat worth it for me... I'm terrible at guesstimating sizes.Beyond that, this mat will help you keep your kitchen tidy. The beveled lip helps to keep all your mess contain in one area that you can easily pick up and funnel into the garbage, or dump in the sink to wash. It's quite large, so it may not fit any of your baking sheets, if that's your intended use for it, but for countertop use, the size is perfect.
