Ordered this originally over the summer and it does come in a Christmas themed box. Enjoyed it for a date night in. It had everything we needed to make candles and good for beginners. The scents were not very strong.

I absolutely love DIY kits and hands-on projects, and this one was such a fun find! It’s the perfect project or gift for anyone who loves getting creative. I’ve already started using it and am having so much fun. It’s a great value, with everything I needed to get started, plus the instructions are super helpful for beginners. The oils smell amazing, and everything listed in the description arrived safely without any damage. The box was packed really well to protect it during shipping. Overall, I’m so happy with this kit!

This product is a great choice for learning how to make candles whether you’re planning on turning it in to a business or just doing it for fun. I gave it four stars because the instructions were not entirely clear and when I followed the temperature guidance on the instructions it wasn’t warm enough to melt the wax even after sitting there about 30 minutes. After I turned the temperature up though it did work well and I made a fun candle. The colors are a little bit tough to tell the difference between the dark ones, but a little goes a long way. There is a learning curve but it works well and is worth the money.

A nice variety of items to get your started. I don't have a problem with the quality of everything except for the warmer.I haven't opened all of the essential oils, just the Jasmine. It smells good, so the rest of them probably smell like they should. There is a generic expiration date (three years). Three years from when I opened them? Three years after manufacture? It's a mystery.I've never colored candles before, but the colorant worked just fine. However, none of them were marked. I had a really hard time telling the difference between the blues. I thought about mixing colors to make my own, but that wasn't going to work out because it was too difficult to tell what was what.There was both soy and beeswax. They recommended 80% soy and 20% beeswax. That's fine for container candles, but my personal preference is for a 50/50 mix; the candles will last a lot longer. The quality seems fine.I did not use the wick stickers because I use a different one. These kind of seemed like sticky paper. The wicks themselves seemed fine. I had a good melt pool on the first burn, but not on successive burns. I bled off some of the wax to see if it was a me problem; maybe I cut the wick too low or something? But I don't think it was a me problem. I think that you will need wicks that are made for the size of the jar.The kit also came with a stirring Spoon, a silicone anti scalding pad, thin heat gloves, and some dried flowers.It includes a wax melting pot. I liked the concept, but the thermostat is very inaccurate. At 180, the wax was actually about 150. These temps are actually important since you want to get the wax hot enough and you need it at a certain temp for adding your fragrances and at another temp for pouring. Can you tell visually? Yes, some people can. But if you're new -- not so much. Watch some youtube vids before using the kit to get a better idea of what you'll be looking for. Also purchase a thermometer. A meat thermometer works just fine. The capacity is small, so that you can make only one candle at a time.The directions were terrible. They said to put the pot on at 100 inches . What? I assume that they meant 100° C, okay. But I did buy this in America, so 100" doesn't even make sense. Definitely needs some help with translating to English.If you get the $20 coupon, sure; worth it to try out a new hobby to see if you'd be interested to keep going. If you pay 62.99, that's too much because of the inaccurate wax melter, but I feel that price would be okay if it had a bigger capacity and an accurate thermostat.For what it's worth, I'd suggest this kit if you want the variety of items, but also get a thermometer and buy a metal container with a spout; use the double-boiler method. Then use the warmer that came with this kit to melt lip balm or something.***Edit: My bad. The scents do come with actual dates for expiration. Both the date that it was produced (or bottled?) and the expiration date.

First thing that I really liked is the box, the box comes in is already in a presentable giftable box. I got this kits for Mom's nights creative project. It was very easy to understand instructions for the first time users. We meet easily beautiful candles and have a great time. Happy with this purchase.
