First, I am a HUGE Philips Hue fan. I have a large and tall bookcase and when having electrical work done in another part of the house, I was "brilliant" (light bulb pun) enough to have the electrician put an out let at the top of this over 10 foot tall beast. My house does not get as much natural light to the interior as my previous house so having this glow against the bit of wall left and the ceiling really adds. Of course, the granddaughters (which is why I moved here) have chosen a seasonal color pallette--for Halloween and they love the scenes that the light changes--and they like it to change faster than slower. I can quickly change to "Read" to have more light that you can read by (vs orange and purple and the like). It installed easily, connected right off and works. I love this light strip. I contemplated the newer strip with the ability to change the lighting along the strip, but the price was too much for me. However, this is great. Hue users know that there are pre-done scenes or make your own or choose from the color wheel.

Very bright and the app seems to be very easy to use. Wish that the power cable was longer. I put it above the large window in my living room and the provided power supply cord isn't long enough to reach the outlet, have to use an extension cable.

The pricing for Hue products can be hard to accept but compared to the competition I've tried, its reliable, consistent and just works. The only frustration is the price and not the product. I don't get this with the competitors. This lightstrip is no different. Its bright, matches the bulbs perfectly and nearly always works when it should. I would love to buy a cheaper product but they just can't compare to Hue. Even after 10-15 years of trying different products.

I recently upgraded to Philips Hue LED light strips, and overall, I have mixed feelings about them. On the positive side, the range of color hues is simply fantastic. I love how vibrant and customizable the colors are, and being able to control them with Alexa adds a level of convenience that enhances my smart home experience.However, I’ve encountered a significant issue: the strips struggle to stay attached. I’ve used several different types of adhesion methods. Despite following the installation instructions carefully, I find myself constantly reapplying them. This is frustrating, especially since I had a cheaper off-brand product before that never fell off, even if the colors weren't as striking.In summary, while the Philips Hue light strips offer stunning colors and seamless integration with my voice assistant, the adhesion issue is a significant drawback. I would give them a 3 out of 5 stars, if i could return them I would primarily due to the installation problems. If Philips could improve this aspect, they would undoubtedly have a winning product.

Two sets of these lights were perfect for crown moulding uplighting on a ceiling. Extremely easy to set up and the colors are vivid and bright. Sinks very well with my current smart home software. They are more money than some other similar products, but I think the extra is worth it.
