It makes perfect nugget pebble ice like they have at Sonic. It’s easy to set up and use. I love that it’s self cleaning, too. It’s well worth the price. Some people say it’s noisy, but it is a machine so it is a tad loud. This was a great purchase for me!

The media could not be loaded. This is a disappointing review to have to write. We returned a previously purchased ice maker, an Outgava brand (but there are 50 more under different names), when it started making an ugly strained whining sound, and Bolo insisted that a return was the best option. This one (different brand, same style of ice produced) had better reviews, including talking about excellent customer service. After plugging it up, it started making *the same noise* after about 48 hours. It got worse and worse. Initially, it would work for a day or so before the noise would start. Slowly it was down to just a few minutes after starting the machine before the horrible sound would start. I followed the "product support" links with Bolo, and it led me to the Euhomy website, and a support request form. I filled it out nearly a week ago, and I've had no response. You see, I suspect this noise might be related to our water (well water, treated with a chlorinator and a water softener). I see other reviews that are all over the map about this issue. It is my guess that there have been enough returned that the seller has some idea as to why this happens. I'd *love* to keep this unit if we can get it to quit screaming like a banshee, but they don't even respond to their web form. So this one is headed back to Bolo before the return window runs out, but I'd really like to find a way to make it work. So for other considering buying one of these, we love the ice, and the removable reservoir (even with the awkward method for pulling it out), and the *normal* noise level was fine. It was this horrible sound that developed that ended our appreciation for it. We love the nugget ice, but primal screams are not going to work. See the attached video.

Will get really noisy if the water level drops giving an audible on it is about to run dry. We use distilled water to help keep it clean. And no, not really like cube ice, more like chunk, but that is nit picking. It's ice for crying out loud.

I’ve been using the Euhomy Nugget Ice Maker for over a year now, and it has been one of the best investments I’ve made in recent years. It works perfectly and consistently produces great nugget ice that I now prefer over the regular ice from my fridge. On the pro side, this is one of the less expensive pebble ice makers. It makes decent ice but ours ran slightly too cold and the ice freezes to harder pebbles. It replaced another (different brand/design) unit that had given out after a couple of years. I was a little disappointed at the noise level but it wasn't too bad until a couple of weeks ago when it started screeching like a banshee. Gave it a couple of multi-day breaks in case ice had built up in the unit and a good cleaning, but after a half hour or so it gets back to shrieking. Not going to go through replacement because even at its best it was just louder than I want to have going.

I was a little hesitant on buying this icemaker. I had always had a bullet icemaker and was worried that this sonic ice would melt too fast. Boy was I wrong. I am so happy I bought this icemaker. The ice taste good and lasts all day in my thermal cup. Only down side is that it is louder than the other icemakers I have bought in the past. I can over look the noise because how fast it can make ice is amazing. Very happy with my purchase and am thinking about buying one for my daughter and her family. She is always coming over to my home to fill her huge thermal cup with ice. Her icemaker cant keep up with the families need for ice.
