5.0 out of 5 stars Nice, rugged & compact bluetooth keyboard.
This multi-platform, compact, bluetooth keyboard is very easy to pair & work with, whether it is a tablet, your phone, a bluetooth-ready notebook or a desktop, this wireless keyboard is easy to use & light weight to take with you. It comes with a case to help keep it closed & dust-free. I found the battery lasts quite awhile especially since it has a built-in stand-by mode. The backlight I like to use is white, it is easier on my eyes when I use my devices at night or within very low illuminated areas. There is hardly any clicking noise coming from the keys as you are typing & the quality of the keys as you are typing does not feel like you are going to break this keyboard no matter how hard you type. (Now, I would not suggest using a hammer, but to each his or her own... 🙃)Cheers! The
5.0 out of 5 stars Solid keyboard
Disclaimer: I purchased this both keyboards amd the rollerball mouse based on the reviews of Vine voices whom I mostly trust. ProtoArc has neither offered me any discounts or free merchandise in exchange for a positive review, and I am glad they didn't. Any company who does this is automatically eliminated by me since ethical reviews should always be at the forefront and never bought for a few dollars.First of: if you are not a touch typist, don't knock this keyboard due to your own limitations. Double strokes and missed keys are all due to lousy typing practice and not the fault of ANY keyboard.Having said that, and typing this review on this keyboard, I love how solid it feels and how responsive the keys are. These are full-size keys which is important for any experienced typist with normal sized hands. Some compacts reduce the size of their keyboard by also reducing the size of the keys, and that can be tiring to use for longer periods of time.I have not yet investigated all the function keys on this keyboard but expect them to be similar to those of other full-sized (non-traveling) keyboards. The one-star reviewer mentioned that the keys are illuminated only AROUND the keys. That is not true, the letters and numbers are quite visible. The backlight shuts off during pauses to conserve battery power but comes back on instantly when touching any key. This is just another of the many thoughtful features that were put in designing this keyboard.I don't think that ProtoArc is still a generic brand. That name has become recognizable due to the quality devices the company offers. I just got their rollerball mouse as well since rollerballs have been my favorite for many years. If you have limited table space for your phone, keyboard, and mouse, the rollerball is the answer since it doesn't have to be moved around like regular mice. The other thing I like is that their devices cost a lot less than the big name brands but are often better, most likely because they have more to lose and thus keep quality control at the forefront. As I am using this keyboard, if I miss a key on the lowest row that is due to insufficient pressure on my part and not because the keyboard is misfiring. It is merely a matter of adjusting my typing pressure. Those of us who learned to type on a mechanical typewriter should have no problem with that while the young generation who are used to the sensitivity of electrical keyboards, especially those with those very long fingernails (I call those dinosaur claws), may need more time to adjust. The huge plus on this travel keyboard is its numerical pad. None of my others have that. I happily accept the slightly larger size just for this feature alone. I am not sure how exactly they managed to do that since folded I don't see a difference between this and my other foldable by ProtoArc. I am including pictures of both keyboards folded and opened. The other ProtoArc keyboard is an ergonomic keyboard that allows for more comfortable hand placement which matters for people with Carpal tunnel or shoulder issues. Unfortunately it is not backlit, and being black it does need some light for those who need to see the keys.Is this keyboard noiseless? No, but I like the feedback. I don't think it is so loud that it would be considered a nuisance. I wouldn't use it in bed next to my sleeping husband, but on a plane the background noise from the engines would nearly drown this out.Summary: this is a really well thought-out keyboard with all the features of a full size regular keyboard. That it is more narrow is deceiving: it doesn't have the wrist cushion the better full sized keyboards have, and ProtoArc didn't waste empty space found in full sized keyboards. Since my little table at home has a lip at the bottom to keep things from falling off when I tilt it I just add a wrist cushion for comfort. I really like the solid feel of this keyboard. Highly recommended.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great keyboard for travel
The keyboard feels great to type on, and I love the backlight. It has adjustable levels and works well for a pitch black room or low light. It is VERY lightweight. The packed down size is really close to the old Google Nexus tablets and fits comfortably in my also very lightweight backpack. The case it comes with has no impact protection but works well at protecting the keyboard from coming unfolded when travelling or from catching on other things I am carrying. I also love having separate physical keys to switch between Bluetooth devices. FN lock is also a great addition. Key travel feels perfect for a keyboard this size.My one MAJOR complaint is that the device cannot be used as a wired keyboard. I can use the device and charge at the same time, but the keyboard isn't recognized as a USB device when plugged in. Honestly, that's the one thing keeping me from using this as my daily keyboard. So, one star off. A minor issue I have is that this does need a completely flat surface and seems long enough that it might not fit easily onto smaller airline trays. I would rather have the ten key though (it's great to have this on the road - my laptop is TKL!!) so I will deal with that.
5.0 out of 5 stars Love It!
I did a lot of research on foldable keyboards, and after going over reviews, etc, I decided this is the one Iw anted, especially with the backlit keys. It came fast, love the quality and feel of the keys. Need it for laptop as more comfortable to use. Works great with my tablet as well. Very happy and worth the money. I read a a comment about backlit not showing keys, but that is not the case. the light goes off when you are not typing for a bit. If you are on the fence, just go for it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Backlit/Foldable/Full Size
Initial impressions: Mobile yet full sized keyboard. Comfortable for person with large hands. Seems to be of good build quality connection to Bluetooth was very quick and easy.
5.0 out of 5 stars Long lasting and light
Great product and information
5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent foldable keyboard
This is my 3rd foldable keyboard, the first one that feels like a regular keyboard.I like the fact that it has a numeric pad, too.I connected my two laptops via Bluetooth, and switching between them has been seamless. I don't expect to use this feature very often, but it has been helpful in the past.It feels sturdier than the past ones, and I look forward to using it for a long time.
4.0 out of 5 stars Convenient Travel Keyboard with Great Backlighting
This foldable keyboard is perfect for on-the-go use. It’s compact and easy to carry, but still provides a full-size typing experience. The backlighting is a nice touch, especially in low-light environments. The connect button makes it quick and simple to pair with devices. Solid choice for travel.
Well-built, nice-looking, great functions
I've owned lots of folding keyboards through the years, but this is the first that's genuinely full-sized.The keys are generously spaced, have a nice action to them, and, because of the zillions of keys here, there are also countless handy extra function keys. For this relatively low price, I was expecting a generic import knockoff-type product, but the packaging and instructions were well-produced, the case and stand were a nice bonus, and using this keyboard is a pleasure. This is a quality product that's going to be really, really useful.
Perfect fit
Very light. Works very well with my mini computer.
Neet, small, portable but one or two keys don't respond correctly
I like it, but I do have to smash the "B" key (and at least another one) way harder than I should.
Very nice
The media could not be loaded. My first impression was wow the packaging is pretty nice which is always a good sign lol... Feels solid. Everything seems to be working. Using it for my Legion go because that's my home PC now. Big enough to be comfortable, is backlit and folds up nicely.
super simple à faire fonctionner
dès la première installation a très bien fonctionné et sans tracas.
